It got reported for necroposting and Emma, a Steam mod, locked it. It got reported again, by a user pointing out it was still relevant and so should be unlocked. I acquiesced to that and unlocked it again, knowing that Emma's post would, confusingly, remain.

I honestly don't care at this point. The information is still relevant, but it's still visible for people to read, so there's no harm done in locking it. There's not really anything more to add besides bumping it again, to say "still works today, thanks."

I am here to thrust knowledge and facts from my mouth at you. I will splurge over you with wisdom and truth so much that you will be blasted back and collapse from the overload of logic and reason which I have pounded you with.

I strongly think that friendlies are to blame for TF2’s decline, and I have compiled a list of 4 reasons why this is the case.

1. Friendlies caused the Meet Your Match Update

Let’s go back to the beginning. Everyone knows that MYM update was disastrous for the game, but let’s get at the core of the issue. Valve was trying to introduce a competitive mode into TF2. Why? FRIENDLIES. Friendlies were causing mass idle players and were promoted grieving which discouraged new players. To address this Valve was forced to add the regarded MYM update which was the beginning of the end for TF2.

2. Friendlies caused the bot invasion.

While residents of the retirement community such as Peggy Sue Johnson may believe Joe Biden was behind the bot crisis, I think the friendlies were, but indirectly. Think about it. By being a friendly, you aren’t playing the game. People, spurred on by righteous fury, created bots to kill the friendlies. Normal players were collateral damage. Of course, the bot hosting YouTubers eventually got hold of the bots and then the issue spiralled out of control. But it was the friendlies that caused it.

4. Friendlies caused idiotic and cringe cosmetics to flood the game.

There’s plenty of dumbass cosmetics that can be attributed to friendlies. These do not belong in the game but now we have thousands of cosmetics that look stupid and ugly in the game because friendlies distorted TF2’s art style.

Is this the engine problem? Or what?

Am I the only one who have this bug?

I have like 120 fps in game at any time BUT every 60 seconds from starting the game this stutter occur. It even stutters in menu!

I've tried everything - nothing helps. What could it be?

Also can anyone here test their game too - just run the game + open msi afterburner with frametime gragh like this AND just stare at the wall or sky for 2-3 minutes:

If this stutter occur on you end too then it's not hardware related for sure.

Honestly I don't think this game was ready for release. They made PvP losses too harsh to be fun and PvE too grindy to be anything but boring and now they're making it worse. The PvP is also a joke, there's no skill involved. It's imbalanced and ambush only.

The bugs that are involved that they're not reimbursing players for as well as the exploits are evidence enough of all of this.

I don't mind a game where PvP can be a reasonable setback as long as there are things to do that don't require it and still allow you progress. A game that lets you go and has healthy competition is the best game.

That isn't this game. Not as is. lol

Also, there's nothing wrong with a game dying if people enjoyed themselves and left on a high note. :)

It is unbelievable how desperate these "PVPs" (or whatever nowadays is called PVP...) try to avoid the knowledge that there are still no working PVP mechanics in this game?!?
The game is ~97% PVE up to the DD - and even in the DD there is no skill based PVP in any meaning, it is just toxic ganking via X vs 1 rocket storm (on top financed by duped ressources).

They made that decisions - how blind can one be - only bc they HAVE NO ENDGAME CONTENT and released the game months too early!
You (few) guys want PVP? You think what's happening in the DD is absout great skill and your style of PVP? I',m totally fine with that - enjoy yourself!

I pray they had the balls to offer pure PVP only servers for this special type of gamer, so we all can see that sh!t dying within days bc they can't endure this stupid toxicity by themselves.

the same thing happened to me, we were not able to fix it but we we still pretty early on so we just restarted. I think it might have happened because we disconnected while one of us closed the game while still in the nighttime save transition. Since that were just made sure to both be loaded in and standing somewhere clear anytime we re-loaded the world or saved for our session. I've yet to run into it again doing that, but idk if thats the cause or the fix lol

Quantum batteries require the essence drop from the cold leyak, you need an upgraded X-Ray lamp to get them to drop it.

ah never upgraded the lamp (so i never got the essence) after i build my base defence because you swim in leyak essence sooner or later

It’s a style, in is small but out is big, like a hole of a bullet.

Do you guys have plans to put achievements on the game? If yes, please, no permadeath or speedrun ones.
