You clearly didn't read my earlier comment. I enjoy the grind if it's FUN. This mechanic is not fun by any means, just tedious. It would be fine if the bonus abilities were all sort of useful in some way, but 90% them are useless and it's just a chore to remake attachments until you find a decent one. They either need to buff the stats of alot of the abilities, or allow you to choose them. I am certainly no stranger to grinding games, I have 1000's of hours in them. So I think I'm qualified to weigh in here

100% of the bonuses are mediocre.

There isn't a single bonus in the game that is going to make a difference on HoE. The 10% you reference that are "good" generally are only good for Normal, and situational for Hard.

I think folks need to realize, the perks (much like the ammo-types) are for min-maxing. You can crush any level, on any difficulty, with any perk at the moment, if you know what you are doing and have an excellent team.

To me, that makes the "grind" much more palatable. Unlike some other games, like Darktide, where the right rolls on a weapon can make or break a class or the ability to play the game at a high level, in KF3, it's all just "extra." The only things that really make a difference are your perk levels, perk upgrade choices, and your game knowledge (just like prior KF games).

Pre-ordering is rather pointless these days anyway. It used to be a thing when games came on physical media, these days, you get "rewarded" with something like an exclusive skin which is pretty worthless.

Depends on whether or not the individual feels those rewards are worth it to them. I've bought skins before.

But this is an FPS. I'll see my character in menus and the end of match screen and that's it so...who cares.

To add on to this I feel like every single thing in the "Phantom" edition and the pre-order bonuses are completely unappealing and I worthless and I am so glad that they are.

Nothing important or tempting locked behind those. People can buy standard and feel ok with that.
