Yes I see a lot of people rushing to the flag too early.

I am more wondering about the situations where there are only one or two enemies left.
Lots of team left to hunt them down.

Why waste an opportunity. Perhaps even save the day. At least distract and irritate the enemies with the alarm.

Surprised, some teammates actually see it as great baiting and look for ambush.

As you said 85% of the time, so why not hedge the betting. Get the win and some extra for cap points.

Yet within about 15 hours I have progressed to the last chapter. The difference between logs and planks isn't that huge, so I only keep enough pine to finish the story line quests, and all the oak. Everything else just gets debarked and sold right away. Debarking does significantly increase the values, plus you get the bark to sell as well. With the trailer log haulers you can get about 50 debarked logs on a single trailer with some careful stacking. It takes me about 20 hours to clear the story line quests, side quests, and own all the vehicles. For big early profits, find all the treasure chests, and sell everything. Don't worry about romance or animals at first. You get a reasonable lineup of vehicles to work with. The Gecko Smart and off road buggy are the only vehicles you'll want to buy at first as you'll get a basic version of everything except a flat bed through the story/side quests. You'll pick up the stump grinder and planter as well. Paying uncle is the slog, but if you finish Lily's quests you'll be able to make potions that can sell for a lot of money with some careful crafting. Once you have the potion recipes, and most of the blueprints you can quickly reach enough income to buy the furniture store. Focus on oak as the increase in value is fairly linear, and oak has the best value overall. Don't waste time on pine, birch or spruce. Craft the best furniture you can and then sell it. You'll quickly make enough money to pay uncle off. Buy only forests with oaks in them, and cut down all the oak around your starting properties.

its almost like taking good mechanics and implementing them in various creative ways is just as and sometimes even more effective than simply throwing more and more mechanics ontop the already existing ones.

if they added entirely new gameplay mechanics with every update this game would be so cluttered and unbalanced and messy.

instead they added variation to already existing core mechanics, and then various ways these things can combo together to impact player choice and force improvised gameplay.

this makes the game more engaging and challenging. so I agree with you.
