it moist certainly is performance/optimization as it crashed at video start nae at game launch. The issue is/was specifically tied to the intro video. After getting past said video I could change to dx12 and have nae issue. This means soemthing in the video handling is throwing the error. But things like this where people claim people do nae know things or try to flex are partially why civ7 had so many issues in discussions. And that was a regardless of which hardware setups and software setups there were issues. Wide spread with zero uniformity. All the while publisher tried to blame everyone's hardware and said upgrade your pc even to people using the newest gen hardware with fresh OS installs and all drivers and bios updated and thus nae upgrade path existed.
yes in that case if your already in game and there is crashing versus what the other person said was on game start up, then yes that wouldnt be the system at least from initial observation however without more details and system specs its hard to agree or disagree to a extent you know what i mean?
I have major issues with the game myself im not discounting your issues but what error codes are you getting.
what is event viewer telling you?
have you been running any pc system monitoring software to see what might be a issue
what is your system specs?
what overclocks are you running if any?
and any other pertinent info so the issue can be properly diagnosed

again i know how publkishers and developers arew with system specs its aways like that, however lets stay in the realm of what we can control and thats our system.
if you want them to do better get a hold of customer support email your issue or hop on there discord and go into detail about the issue.
be warned i gave them, screeenshots and system info and the only advice was use frame gen until they optimise it

I recieved nae errors. Just a CTD. This onlyu occured right when the video intiialied. I tried using VUlkan, DX12 and DX11 setting in game only when i forced DX11 by launch option did it go through and once the world was created and the video played I was then able to close the game, remove the launch option and change it to dx12 in game. I am nae gonna go into details of my own system specs cause ultimately it does nae matter and is nae my issue. I can run all modern games with least high settings if nae epic without issue. However unoptimized games will cause issues that shouldn't exist.

Since this game is EA I definately do nae expect full optimization... though major developers have been gett9ng ever more lazy on optimizing games causing disk sizes to be far larger than they need to be and requiring more memory both RAM and VRAM requirements than is needed while indie developers can do things like add 30% more content and reduce disk size by 50% at the same time without loss of quality or fidelity.

These reductions in size also help the game run faster and smoother as it doesn't need as long to access or load every file when called... The assumption the big companies make is that computational power and speed has risen so much why bother cause they expect our hardware to handle the load for them. But even with SSD's the load times and seek times etc for files and their utilization still makes a big difference in every aspect from how much we have to dedicate from our systems to how quickly and efficiently the system opoerates to error correction and bug occurances.

As for people claiming it is an UE5 issue... it is nae... as i run many games that are compiled via UE5 and use UE5 specific features and did so on 13 year old core hardware i just sometimes had to tweak some settings depending on what i was playing. But even on that old tech I was playing bf2042, soulmask, diablo 4, mechwarrior 5 mercs, bf5, elden ring, bg3, rogue trader and hogwart's legacy, etc because I built my system to last.

Sure there were some games that usually due to poor optimization or because they required specialized chipset technologies like TPM2 which my old CPU did nae have couldn't be ran at all.

Now my pc is fully upgraded with new parts and so that is nae an issue just when there are actual bugs in a game or poor optimizations.

Now if ya wanna tell em what your own issue is... maybe i have ideas for ya... maybe i do nae. From your specs my main concern is your CPU... whule the 3600 is a solid budget CPU it MIGHT and i emphasize MIGHT have issues with the game for being older and combined with poor optimizations of the game... I have seen this with some friends running the 3600. But then like i said I could run games on an fx-8350 that i honestly had nae business being able to run because of exactly which 8350 i was using and how i buolt my pc back in the day.

So really hardware often can be worked around.
