Secure Boot Information - Battlefield 6

We wanted to take the time to explain our approach to anticheat solutions for Battlefield 6. We are committed to our Positive Play Charter, aiming to create a positive gaming environment. As part of our ongoing efforts to enhance Anticheat and Fair Play, Secure Boot is a requirement to play Battlefield 6 on PC.

This supports the need for enhanced security while playing and utilizing new anticheat features in Battlefield. As cheat developers continue to evolve their tactics, we're stepping up our game too.

Requiring Secure Boot provides us with features that we can leverage against cheats that attempt to infiltrate during the Windows boot process. It also lets the Battlefield Positive Play team use its own features and related dependent security features like TPM (Trusted Platform Module, which is a dedicated security chip on a computer's motherboard) to combat other forms of cheating and related techniques, the most relevant of which include:

• Kernel-Level Cheats and Rootkits
  
• Memory Manipulation and Injection
  
• Spoofing and Hardware ID Manipulation
  
• Virtual Machines and Emulation
  
• Tampering with Anticheat Systems

Any attempt to access Battlefield 6 without Secure Boot enabled will result in a prompt indicating its necessity and being unable to launch the game. Without Secure Boot Battlefield 6 will not be playable on PC.

Secure Boot is available for Windows 11 and Windows 10 devices, and if you’re running a newer system it might already be enabled automatically. For more information on enabling this feature, refer to this EA Help article.

So I cant play without modifying my software/bios config to fit your needs and let your software have the deepest level of access to scan it and monitor everything? Nah im good, gonna just go play the other great games releasing and my backlog that has plenty of players including multiplayer ones that are not acting like malware on my pc lol

All i can say is: thank you for stepping up on Anticheat efforts, they were in big need since the Launch of Battlefield 1 already (sentry hacks etc)… and i clearly dont wanna get killed by an Spawnbeacon anymore 🤮

at very first check if you run a HDD or some older hardware 'settings', be sure to switch your Disk formation from MBR into GPT .. then:

>> update BIOS/UEFI to 'latest' Firmware (highest priority, always)
>> in BIOS/UEFI switch 'Legacy/CSM' to 'UEFI'
>> (create fresh factory default keys, depends on BIOS manufacturer)
>> enable 'Secure Boot'

>> reboot your machine, and wait
>> update your OS afterwards to scan/check/fix possible (compatibility) issues
>> verify gamefiles

Your LINKS for the ASUS mobo's are are actually ASrock website links... Just FYI.

You might also want to mention that TPM 2.0 has to be supported and UEFI turned ON along with a disk in GPT format are *all required* in addition to simply having SecureBoot enabled.
