Anything is possible. Obviously the best option is to avoid full wipes. The DW devs are at the mercy of the game engine makers. There's a lot of time between now and whenever 1.0 for DW arrives. If the game engine gets any major changes that could possibly cause compatibility issues, game devs may have no choice but force a full wipe.

If the devs know what they are doing, they should be able to rework the game after any game engine updates, to ensure there will not be a wipe.

oh ok, thought maybe some of those mods i saw on nexus mod that get you map with pre constructed building and tons of each ressources could play a role in the decision making of wipping or not since it could be consider unfair if let say they plan on putting some sort of ranking system or a more pvp focus game design.

Those aren't really mods in those cases.
The "mods" that you see with preconstructed and filled maps are just someone giving you a world they worked on. Essentially you're downloading someone's world.

Trading worlds isn't necessarily bad, people do it all the time in other local saved games like Terraria, but I think it's safe to say that if they don't want you trading worlds they'd just make them save differently. Ultimately it'll be you who ruins your own experience if you decide to download a person's world to try and get ahead, but I also think that world trading opens the door for some interesting stuff later down the line such as a prebuilt adventure with obstacle courses and such. Maybe when we get agility that's something we can look forward to.

No issues like that on my end, so I highly doubt it's EA's job to fix.

This is a post to extend the thread; If you want to respond to it you're welcome but there's no need.

So far I am not able to replicate this issue at all, in all my tests I can sell the hunting bow without issue to the woodcarvers in all cities that have them, and it doesn't give me the option to sell the bow to blacksmiths at all, which is the correct behavior. I suspect it is a save version compatibility issue with your bow, though I don't remember making any changes to the hunting bow in recent updates that would make it not match the one in your inventory. But in this Friday's update I will be sure to update all items in player inventories to match the current version of the game, so if that is the issue, that should hopefully resolve it.

If the amount of units you have in the run is equal to the number of units you draw on each map and you don't want any other units because you're happy with your current options. For example, I start a life with at least 2 units with an extensive amount of Defense and Resistance. I want them in every single run of that life, so I never want to add more pieces unless I lose some.
