Why force people to play on lower difficulty instead of simply making that both charger variants count towards the kill count?

so that they gain some familiarity with lower difficulty and maybe see that things aren't as clear cut as they seem.

I think we had enough time to get ourselves familiar with lower difficulties before all of us switched to the higher diffs where behemoth chargers replace the regular ones.

The thing people need to realize is that the beta is a vertical slice of the game and the build we played was likely several months old when it got into our hands. Most of your issues have likely been addressed already.
