I have a launch-era Steam Deck, got mine in May 2022, and I'm starting to wonder if my battery's faltering. Leaving it on standby off the charger for a couple of days leaves me with something like 40% battery life, and it seems like it's going down faster than it used to. I know to use the battery saving features, running 3D games at 40fps, but, I'd like to check on the battery health.

So how's yours doing? Anyone else with a 3 year old Steam Deck, are your batteries doing well?

And is there anything like CoconutBattery for Linux?

Quick comments:

2) please increase base XP gain by 20% so that 2 in work grants the base allotted XP of 100%.

For 2 in Work it makes sense to be 100%, fair enough. Will consider this (but need to evaluate further balancing first.)

Changing the percentage to 50% per point could also work, not sure of the XP scale you're using though. It just bugs me that you have 40/80/120 with no means of hitting 100 and by extension knowing what should be average.

3) please give a 5 point XP bonus for disabling cambots manually one-by-one. Or disabling any enemy at that.

Most likely no. As a principle, the game does not award player for killing/destroying enemies. You get XP by completing quests. So whatever means you do it, you get the same XP.

Then I still recommend giving at least 1 XP per "kill" and/or room clear vs anything that can't be bypassed without risking combat to obtain it's loot.
Not really a combat or stealth character, but turning off the cambots in melee should be worth something given the risk, when there's no handy computer to disable them all.

7) add the ability to turn the camera so that it's easier to examine the map and step in contested spots

Unfortunately, while reasonable, it is impossible due to engine limitations. There are only 2 dimensions :(

In the next iteration of this game, should you decide to make it, I recommend a 3d approach then.

These sort of name drop posts should be taken down. It is the control of the various DbD forums by a small sub-set, who endorse re-shaders, smerf accounts, camping, tunnelling, kill streaking, hatch camping, and the terrible witch hunts of smaller and medium sized channels that needs addressing. That is what has made the game and community toxic and stagnant.

Anyone making real constructive or creative comment on the game is long gone or got banned for pointing out hard or harsh facts concerning the antics of this sub-set.

People should learn to google their "hero's" past acts, before appointing them the forever know it all's, and name dropping them everywhere, based on false drama.

Crossplay toggle does nothing

This is my experience as well. Not sure what the OP is on about. Maybe just got lucky

At the end of the day, I play with controller on PC too, and I'm sure it isn't just me. So even turning cross play off for real won't get rid of us "noobs" : P
