That doesn't mean BF6 will work since the anti-cheat might make Windows-specific kernel checks.

Yea the point of this is there are so many Linuxs players who are BF fans feeling sad and full of hope and we need to not waste time with something that will not change feeling defeated and do healthier option that is to move on. It's not like BF6 is going to be the best in the world or anything.

3 possbile reasons:
1. Too low VRAM by the GPU (check via metric)
2. Too slow GPU processing speed
3. too slow NVMe/SSD read speed

Please keep in mind this game is/was core designed for console (PS5) with its targeted performence power.
For native 30 fps @ 1080P on medium settings, the following PS5 equal PC hardware is recommended:

CPU: Ryzen 5700X/5800X (Windows OS load adjusted)
GPU: RX6750XT 12 GB VRAM
RAM: 16GB (just for the game)
Storage: PCIe 4.0 NVMe Speed + DirectStorage Support

If you have more power, go for it. If less then well... You know...

The games performance in fps is not effected by the speed of the NVMe/SSD you have the game installed on. When the loading is done, all reach/settle on the same FPS. But the visual experience is! Depending on how much slower you are compared to the core-targeted 5.5GB/s readspeed, you will encounter visual issues like texture-load issues/delays, asset load issues/delays and even world load issues/delays.

In the gameplay settings, there is an option to called Accessibility outlines this may be helpfull if you have troubles following with one is your character etc.

What about the power of missions? Should I generally be trying to go for under 1k power at the start? It seems to take a long time to travel, am I going to miss anything if I leave Mars and it takes like 60 days to get back?

When do you recommend moving in from Mars? Where to? Venus or Mercury perhaps? Im not trying get a step by step guide, just a general idea about these early game milestones.

I absoluty agreed with others saying the update on leo change reduce the palyer experience and virtually prolonge the game duration. Others kings are boring and it was the only with a strong meta-game that have real thoughts and choice to make to get through the early. Also very satisfying wich between the majority of troops unplayable and the very redundant game is lacking after getting through the early phases of the game.

Oh wow this is a throwback. This thread is so old that the mod page is a dead link to LastBullet, before it became ModWorkshop.

Yeah, I do still have those old textures. My mod did advertise containing them as an optional download, but they were deleted by mistake 6 years ago. I have reuploaded it as an optional download.
