I ended up playing with two other friends for a co-op experience and ended strong enough to try and take on that demo wall boss. It felt like we could actually beat it if we had a good enough set up.

The art style has been the one thing that a lot of us were drawn into. Rubber Hose art style has been a favorite of mine for a bit now and the stretch and bends you see in animation are very clean. You can tell the workers on it are big fans of the style as well.

The music is very fitting of the style. Battle themes start up in such a nice way that gets me excited to rush right in. The sound effects themselves sound fitting to the overall theme and feel like they could be used in a older toons at times.

Being an action roguelike works so well for the type of story its going for. A tough journey where you build yourself up. Outside of that, the makers did a great job making each run feel unique all with possible strategy for getting a boss busting set up.

I was charmed by a lot of the characters in game, Wolfgang being a sleezy salesman was one of my favorites. Another being our devilish "therapist" Bubz. Hes so delightfully devilsih.
Theres even more i cant wait to meet.

Gameplay feels good on the hands when youre using a controller. A easy to learn type of gameplay, with ramping difficulty testing your familiarity of controls and enemies. Getting a high score for beating up enemy waves in a cool way feels so good.

In short, Im happy i got to play the playtest. Especially with friends. Theres a lot to look forward to when this game gets released. I'll be keeping an eye on the discord group.

literally every single one of them is worse then their regular counterparts except for maybe the dual machine pistols but even then they just operate like any other machine gun sidearm
nothing really exotic about it.

tbh tho i cant even remember what their bonus for losing accuracy on missed shots is if it even has one and its the only one i can tolerate using
and melee is melee

dont get me wrong im loving the game just the exotics were quite the letdown and were more frustrating to use then anything.
i did the sniper one with the pistol and melee ffs. granted the sniper isint actually bad but

i think most need a do over. the only exotic thing about them is theres a penalty for missing shots compared to regular guns and one drains your shields

ill just toss an idea or two for each and add a bit of depth on why i think its worse

for the energy minigun
it would honestly be fine without either the proc chance increase or the slower RoF per missed shot. just being a minigun that fires at full fire rate without needing to slow down and wind it up would be fine.
but if it has to have a gimmick then i would add a overheat to it and have its damage go up the hotter it is. and remove the RoF drain or buff it to 1%. its a minigun why TF is it losing fire rate per missed shot when your shooting tens of bullets per second.
the whole shoots lots of bullets is the point of a minigun yet this one seemingly wants the opposite

the mag fed single shot sniper
this one isint so bad despite what i said about doing the mission with the pistol instead
its more just not great for co-op and most maps just dont really support a sniper playstyle
that and it doesnt stand out compared with other snipers or even marksmen rifles.
any of the other options can do what it does just without having 1 shot per mag with a long reload if you dont hit a weakpoint.
needs a stronger effect. i think making it ricochet x3 on weakspot hit and having 3 rounds to start with added to what it currently does would make it more worthy of being an exotic

iron squares
just give it smart ammo.
but tbh i dont really have an idea what to do with these. they are pretty usable as is they are they just dont have anything that makes them stand out as an exotic

could restore shields on hit rather then drain your own and lose the passive shield regen
otherwise not any different from the reverent besides it sucks your shields away
and suffers from the same issues the sniper has but to a lesser degree.

the spear
melee is melee
same issue as most of the guns it just doesnt have anything that makes me go neat its an exotic. its just a melee with the a downside if someone happens to steal my kill
would be neat if it was a melee weapon you could throw and have it come back to you if it hits a target

but dont get me wrong im enjoying the game. i was just super letdown with the exotic weapons. these are just some ideas but something does need to be done with them. for now tho im just passing them up for regular weapons beside the melee one cause why not
