You think Trump cares about US Birthright citizenship? He's been trying to get rid of it, along with all of his own children, that are US Birthright citizens born after their illegal immigrant wives got questionable citizenship from Trump as EB-1 (Einstein) Visas, after doing mile high club plane ♥♥♥♥ photoshoots for him and then ignoring and avoiding him since.

ps: Superman would of been an illegal immigrant and the movie supported them as such. It's 100% totally anti-Trump and ICE, no question about that. MAGA even raged about it, now they are like oh he joined us, yay! Hail Trumpism cult! Like wtf? Are you clueless? Serious joke.

Regarding Trump, it's not exactly that he doesn't care about it. He has just been trying to argue for a certain interpretation of it[www.whitehouse.gov] which hinges upon the notion that if neither parent was a U.S. citizen in the first place, then the child is not subject to the jurisdiction of the United States. He's doing it to try and close the anchor baby loophole. He likely wouldn't consider superman as a birthright citizen because neither of his parents are American.

However, the U.S. president is neither the beginning nor the end of U.S. law, and in the systems of checks and balances, if the U.S. Supreme Court determines somebody to be a citizen based on the text of the 14th amendment, like in that particular story (written well before Trump's presidency) then that is that. I am sure a vocal Trump opponent such as yourself can appreciate a robust system of checks and balances which keeps him from wielding unlimited king-like power.

Besides, that was only one of two pathways I addressed and the far less important one. The main one is the foundling statute. The most basic understanding of Superman's origin story suggests that this is the means by which most iterations of the character would be presumed as citizens.

I have not seen this Superman movie to know what the proper assessment of that character's citizenship status is. Even L.E.A. can get it wrong, which is part of why getting your day in court is so important. It's possible that it misrepresents U.S. law. It's possible that in that movie, Superman's Kryptonian origins were discovered prior to him turning 21.

In any case, I see no special reason to pay special deference to the movie over any other source of Superman lore. The movie isn't what rendered Superman into a U.S. cultural icon, and for the purposes of this topic, it makes the most sense to pay deference to the version of Superman that Dean Cain himself portrayed.

Dean Cain didn't play Superman in the movie. He played Superman in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Unfortunately, it is a show I have not watched, so I can not begin to evaluate Superman's legal status in that beyond assuming the basic superman backstory applies. However, in that basic superman backstory Superman would be considered a U.S. citizen, at least barring any potential discovery of his origins as Superboy.

So I assume U.S. Code Title 8 § 1401 (f) applies to superman by default, unless otherwise is proven during the course of the story of the iteration we follow.
