The activation time does matter a lot when it comes to chases. Survivors can turn corners that were impossible to setup beforehand.

When a character both has a blue diamond and green heart. They will only do the blue diamond skill when everyone is full health, else it will do green heart.

Also, the first level of skill is done with 4 match, and the higher one is 5 match

no its an actual game problem dude. i have 24 gigs of vram on a 7900xtx and the game is on lowest settings using 3.7gb vram and it still gives that error. its not his gpu @Proxii

Actually, it's because it is a cell-based engine that breaks areas up into bite-sized pieces. It does this because it's architecture was originally built in 1997. It has absolutely no ability to stream areas in/out seamlessly as the player moves (other than simulated LOD in distant cells). And the world as a whole can't exist without those loading screens. Interiors, if rendered live to the open space, break performance (Open Cities tried this, but had heavy requirements).

The architecture just can't handle newer demands being put on it. Many recent games on more modern engines don't have this issue. It's not something limited to objects and havok physics - it's a core engine limitation. CE/CE2 should have been retired long ago and replaced with a completely new iteration.

It's been said before, but bears repeating: loading screens are simply the poster child for what's wrong with Bethesda's inane grasp on old technology, and refusal to move forward.
