I understand what you're saying, but Battlefield has always been like that, and that feeling has varied depending on the map design. The maps in this beta in particular have felt small, closed, and full of corridors. (Except for the mountain map.)
And this increases that feeling of lack of control and true strategy when performing any action in the game. COD is a different type of gameplay, but I remember Modern Warfare 2019's Battlefield mode and I feel like the gameplay was better, or at least well-balanced. Of course, without the destruction that Battlefield has. Maybe it's a graphics engine issue.

Haven't seen any cheaters, maybe one or two sus person, but in over 80 hours in a free to play beta all I saw was 1 or 2 sus people, that's awesome.

I wish they just reverted to the systems of older versions. All these newer additions were unnecessary and for the worse imo, and if that is not possible it could be made into a custom option.

I saw others complaining about it but thought there was maybe something added that people hadnt discovered yet like a ship upgrade or some new higher tier medical items but that does not seem to be the case. stacking injuries are also really unforgiving, i had one clone with 3 fractures on his gut and just died to starvation because one of them would not heal after using all my splints!

You don't necessarily need Hunters dedicated to hunting. You can alternate people off other resources to hunting at night, back to other resources at day and juggle them as long as you get the times right (look at when buildings are open). I'd recommend not using the fast forward feature in the game if you are struggling, time is precious in frostpunk and using the fastforward feature is an easy way to miss out on precious minutes and seconds when managing your economy. Remember; early you're going to be bouncing people around a lot!

No, hunters are debuffed with "Resting after the Hunt" after returning and will provide 0% output if assigned to another workplace. The debuff lasts almost the entire workday. Hasn't been a viable exploit for years.
