Ye, I'm having a similar issue as others. Disabled Sloth entirely, ensured I'm not leveling Main Character with Destiny, and have visually confirmed that my Destiny is capped and not fluctuating. Based on my generation of 25.4 Destiny per second, I should be getting a 1-2 Fate per hour. But game's been running all night and it hasn't gone up since the update, so I've been unable to progress at all.

I wanna start by saying overall this is a great game and I continue to mostly enjoy it. But the transition after the early/mid into the capital/fleet portion of the game is a step down, and it entirely comes down to how fleet/reinforce is a hard blocker.

I'm on the final galaxy right now and for each galaxy I never considered reinforcing until an entire tree was done. Worse still - in retrospect I realise that everything I've gained from micro-managing the rest of the game between each reinforce was pretty much...*nothing*.

Really the only thing I've saved by pushing hard is a few inconvenient shard captures that i'd have had to prestige to claim. But given that these are at worst ~12h cycles compared to the month long clear time for galaxies it's nothing. Nothing that wouldn't have been made trivial by the eventual reinforce I was going to do anyway.

One of the best things this game did in the early mid was make it feel like I could push as hard as I wanted and be rewarded for it. I was never really more than a a few hours away from making a meaningful decision.
While this remains true in the late game within a reinforce, the long term gains of any such decision are completely eclipsed by the reinforce, the reinforce that is hard time locked behind astrium fuel. The least boostable or generally interactable system in the entire game.

tldr If I walked away from the game right now for a month, came back and 100%'d the final galaxy with my built up fuel and did the reinforce, I would be in the exact same position as if I played and pushed every day.

it's easy to complete this event, I just set up a carbon farm and finished it in a couple hours just shipping 80 pts at a time. Just gotta keep the dirt canisters filled for the centrifuge.

not even with soil canisters, set up a tapper with some plants found from Atrox and it's even easier, just one button push to send the rocket is all.
