Hey people,

just wondering how to fix a few fps drop culprits. I feel like the worldportals and certain combat effects really tank the framerate of this game, especially in 4k (9070 XT, 5800x3d, 32gb of RAM) and it's driving me a bit crazy. It's not too big of a deal but sometimes it dips below 60 fps and I'd love to stay at that value when streaming the game to my 60 Hz TV.

I have installed optiscaler for FSR 4 but XESS makes not much of a difference performance wise, I've tried. I also installed the engine tweaks mod from Nexusmods, but some effects simply cause spontaneous fps drops and I can't seem to fix that by tweaking the settings.

Any ideas?

IM NOT COMPLETELY BRAINDEAD FROM ALL THE RUST!! I FIGURED OUT HOW TO INSTALL MODS AND THE LOAD ACCELERATOR WORKS AMAZING! IM RUNNING IN AND OUT OF BUILDING JUST FOR FUN NOW:))))

I forget the name of the game gosh it's been over a decade, but I recall one where each day the server would pair up guilds and at a certain time the batted would ensue each team having their guild castle depicted and posed opposite a big gulch, and it sort of amounted to capture-the-flag but with sub awards (all settled up after the match).

You could even lose the capture-the-flag part, but still get tidbits of mini-rewards for having taken do the enemy's gate or something but still in the end lost. But no matter.

You are obviously anti-PVPVE. This isn't a COD death match style game, never was designed as such. PVP is literally the only content this game has after you hit the DD. You have no idea what you are really talking about. I'm not a god tier PVPer, and I've played this game 500 hours, got all the T6 I could need and did it before the patch that ruined the PVP aspect of the game, without dying to pvp once. I did finally die in a 5-2 in a PVP lab, which was fair, we knew they were there and were messing around. Some people want their PVP to be structured, guided, and funneled by the game, some of us want to write our own stories, make our own friends, find our own enemies.
