Cannot use Market in Steam Client?

So today I've noticed I cannot interact with the community market (buy or sell) through the steam client at all. It works fine though a browser, but when hovering over a buy or sell button I get a message saying make sure cookies are enabled on my browser.

I've closed and re-opened steam, and logged out and back in, but it's still stuck this way. Is there a fix for this? Or is it some problem not only with myself?

After digging around i found the Community Market Beta group forum. It appears several people are having this issue, and it must be on steam's side. I wasn't too worried about it since I could still use the browser to deal with it, but it's a bit annoying.

I've had the same problem on my end as well. Luckily for me, 99% of my buying/selling is done through a browser. But yeah, I have noticed it.

I have no issues using the market in a web browser (buy and sell cards, etc.) but none of it is working in the client. Just pointing out that it is not the market itself but something with the client. (I am using the Beta client FYI)

Yes, I too cannot use the Steam Market through the client. I cannot buy, sell, or remove items I already had up for sale. It's perfectly functional in Google Chrome though.

Same here too, it has been on for a few days now...

I installed the latest Beta client this evening and my market problems are gone now. FYI for anyone still having issues. (Go to Steam/Check for Steam Client Update).

As of October 4, 2013 still having issues but it is hit and miss - sometimes the transactions work - sometimes not. Always works via Chrome web browser though. Will continue to post results as they vary.
