Good space games that you control the ship

I know some good rts game sof space like homeworld, but I would like recommendation of good space combat like this game but in aspect of individual combat. I know star trek Starfleet bridge commander, but is not in steam. I read your recommendations.

Those are the ones that come to mind.

Beware that X games are a major time sink also 3rd entry has very janky autopilot and NPC pathfinding.
You can main ships of various sizes, but go-to are called class M6 AKA Corvette. They fit in vast majority of space station docks.

So this game isn't as extensive as, say, Elite Dangerous when it comes to space flight. But I really like it as well for what it is, you can even build your own spaceships in here:

Fair warning: this isn't just about spaceflight, Empyrion is more of a Minecraft based survival game which allows you to construct much more advanced machinery; including space ships and capital ships so that you can explore other worlds as well.

But that also means you can easily live out your game in space. Just maintain your capital ship to store all your stuff, and when you find a planet you like you just get into your (docked) spaceship to land there and check things out.

Better than star citizen. Does star citizen have a actual ending? Starfield does and allows you to explore multiple dimensions after the ending. Feel free to post a star citzen video on here to show it's ending..when it comes out. When is that? 2028?

Also, Starfield doesn't have any multi-thousand-dollar "microtransactions" that I'm aware of.
