How old do you have to be to publish a game to steam??? HELP

Hello I just wanted to know on how old do you have to be to make a game and then actually put it up so people can buy it on steam (e.g) Do you have to be an adult or 18??? It would be amazing if somone can actually reply. Thank you EDIT: Can you be 13?? that would be good

Probably, don't get your hopes up.
Do you have a finished game ready to sell?
Are you prepared to spend 100$ to get on greenlight?

You have to be 18+ to sign a legal document, before that your legal guardians have to do it for you. Which also means they shall be hold responsible for all your actions.

when you are able to sign contracts legally, mostly around the age of 13, depends on the country.

13 is also the age you have to be to register a steam account legally.

I was told recently the 13 was to do with privacy laws. 13 is not old enough to sign a legal binding contract.

it is, limited, but until the age of 17-23, depending on the countries that i know, the parents have to be involved or have to give written permission, otherwise and at any state of the contract they are responsible.

otherwise kids would even be able to buy anything and that is also the age where you can start to run your own business, limited and under parental guidence, but on your name.

Ok guys thank you for your responses! Thanks so much now I'm gonna do some research because I do want to make a game. And then when I actually make it it would of been a waste of time If I couldent publish it, but then again im new to game making stuff. So thanks for your responses it means alot!:)

If you really want to get into game development do not think of the money. Its a lot like acting, most don't make a ton of money, and you've got to put in a lot of hour.

If you are new, then you should be making demos and small games. Learn the trade first then try to make money. And Steam is not the only place to sell your wares.

WHat coding experience do you have?

Give it a week and the knock on effect of the Chinese market slump will hit Wall Street and raise the GBP to the USD even higher.
