If someone on discord or acting "as a steam official" or is trying to pass themselves off as a person who "mistakenly reported you" - or is threatening your account IN ANY WAY -
If you have to ask: it's a scam.
A few observations:
1. It replicates the trading window pretty well. In fact, it even showed me a feature I wasn't aware of before, which says "One or more of the items you're receiving in this trade come from games that you have never played". That said, it's still missing some info/integrations, such as not being able to show my own inventory (of course).
2. Going through the motions to make the trade causes a pop-up window. Unlike some other phishing sites I've seen (particularly the "vote for my team" scam), this is a real browser window, with a page that appears to be a Steam login. The trick here is that it does something to blank the address bar. And this is one of those browser window pop-ups that's meant to have a non-editable address bar.
store.steampowered.com is for store and some account related tasks
steamcommunity.com - Steam main page
store.steampowered.com - Steam Store
steamcommunity.com/tradeoffer/... - Steam Trade Links
Since when is Steam spelled with an R?
Yes, i am aware of the word stream and its meaning, but that has nothing to do with Steam itself.
