Market did not fulfill my order?
I have a buy order: https://steamcommunity.com/market/listings/252490/Christmas%20Lights

I made sure that my buy order stayed the highest amount incase someone would sell.
Steam sais its a commodity item so they automatically sell to highest bidder.

My bid: 72 euro

Last sale: 67 euro

This sale happened when my order was up. And there were a bunch of orders around the 70 euro mark as well.

How does this happen???

If multiple buy orders satisfy a new market listing, which buy order gets processed?

We have made some changes to how this works in March of 2017, and again in July of 2017 to try to be more fair for users of all currencies.

The oldest matching buy order will be selected. It used to be that the buy order for the highest amount after currency conversion would be selected, but that was unfair to users of some currencies as the maximum amount differs from currency to currency. So now, if multiple buy orders could fulfill a newly-listed item, the oldest buy order will be selected.

Seems unlikely there is any currency of a seller where prices 5 euros apart would be the same, so I don't think that is the cause.

my steam wallet is not "euro", i can not check the current price, but if your "SELL" price is "50 euro" and other player has "50.01 euro", other player will go first, so you should add "55" and stop playing with "0.01" or just buy with the current "BUY" price

OP claims to have the highest buy order, which currently in euro is 72,01€, in usd $87.29

i assume he "fighted" for the top spot, so his buy order is relatively new.

the graph shows a selling of 67,45€ on june 15th, $81.77 is usd.
as someone listed the item for that price .. the OLDEST satisfying buy order was given the match, which of course was not the one from OP because it is newer.

being the top buy order does not really matter when people list items for a lower value.
