What are the benefits to leveling up your steam profile?

To brag? It's dumb, I'd rather them bring back the old rating system based on how much you played over the last 2 weeks. "10 - EAGLES SCREAM!"

basically they made unlimited features and put limits on them that increase with steam level, also every 10 levels adds an extra widget to your profile

the features where never there until they added them together with the level system. so they were never "unlimited"

Every level increases the maximum size of your friend list, every 10 levels lets you get another showcase on your profile, and every 10 levels increases your booster pack drop chance by 20%.
