How do i know if someone reports me on steam? (answered)
So basically, my friend told me that i was reported and it says i was going to be banned, but i have no proof because i dont know how to see reports. Has anyone got any information on how to see reports?

edit: been a few years, i know its a scam now, but you can still respond if you want :)

report your "friend", they are setting you up for a scam
there are no pending bans, there is no item verification or duped items.
if you where going to get a ban, no one would tell you, and you would of had to do something to earn it.

No such thing. And if your friend wants you to trade stuff before your account is banned, he is trying to scam you.

That user is trying to scam you or hijack your user-account.

It's called the 'pending ban report scam'.

1) There's no such thing as a pending ban report - it is a scam, and a very old scam.

2) All reports are anonymous and investigated without warning the user.

3) It's possible that your friend's account may have been compromised or the hijacker is manipulating your friend.

4) Respond to your friend / hijacker, and try to find out if their account has really been compromised.

If you have done nothing wrong, all people could report you and it wouldn't count. Stop falling for this and get better "friends".

and don't just accept friend requests from every single person who sends them or you play a round of a game with, thats just asking to be scammed.. its called a "friend" list for a reason, add people who you already have good relations with

You might want to dump this person from your friends list.

Chances are, the friend's account has been compromised (possibly by the same scam).

OP, as has been said, report the person. Valve will lock the accoun until the real owner can reclaim it.

4) I already responded to them, but basically, they've been in my friends list for about 7 months now. But the point was, how do i view reports? That way I could prove if i was reported or not.

3) Oh ok.

2) I dont really understand what you said there.

1) ...................

Oh and yes. He kept asking for my email, password, and stuff like that. You may be correct...

How did you get that :yinyangflip: thing
cSg|mc-Hotsauce Nov 20, 2018 @ 8:55am
You don't need to view reports made on you. False reports mean nothing. Support will have ALL the evidence necessary for their investigation.

He got it by crafting a game badge or buying it on the market.

When you craft a badge you get an emoticon and background from a set tied to that badge you can buy most on the marketplace if you don't want to gamble on making badges for them.

You don't need to view the reports.
First, theres no report here to begin with. Its a scam!
Second, even of there were reports, theres nothing to for view as Steam support takes action based on investigations. Jesus, Buddha and the Easter Bunny themselves could report you and Steam support wouldn't do anything if theres no proof of wrongdoing.

It's a scam because valve never checks steam reports.

Fixed that for you.

As for your assumption...
