DS5 if I ever get a PS5.
Thing takes getting used to but... I still love that critter.
Being able to program what does what is my favorite part about it.
I've also got a Steam controller but that gets almost no use, though the few times I did it was actually very neat to use.
- Nintendo Switch Pro Controller (an official one not a third party like PowerA or Hori, i really like the weight and the size of those controllers, it fit well in my big hands).
- DualShock 5 (it took me a few hours to got used to the DS5 when i got my PS5, like i said my hands are pretty big and the DS5 handles are a bit thiner than the DS4 but once i got used to it it's pretty good to play with, the weight is on par with the Switch Pro Controller, it really feel like you have something in your hands and it's responding pretty well).
But if you're already using a DS4, it would be better to go with a DS5 (same buttons and the two analog stick are in the same position, unlike most others controllers, it would takes you less time to get used to it and in the end it's a pretty good controller).
/me hides.
Anyways i used to have a controller F510 i think. Every time i use it my hand ache a lot.
But otherwise, just for simplicity in games and compatibility I'll often default to an Xbox One controller. Got a deal on a custom one about a year ago.
So yeah it depends - for comfort, Sony. For gaming compatibility, MS.
I generally absolutely avoid third party controllers as there's two endemic problems with them. Either they're less reliable due to being built down to cost undercutting the official ones. Or being third party, there's often something in their architecture that just won't play ball with all games.
XBox One.
