I JUST GOT BANNED

i just got banned on the warhammer 2 forum, in a Thread i create talking about game balance, whereas a dude comments on my abillities to performe in game, whereas i call him "Idiot" thats litteraly it, nothing more, nothing less? how is that bannable? its my own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ thread and i cant even moderate it and it got banned from it? "for being disrescpectfull"? this is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dumb

Calling someone an "idiot" is calling them dim witted, someone who doesn't have the capacity to understand anything in your opinion, that is insulting other users based on their intelligence and your accusation without any proof in hand to back it up as you don't know these users.

That is still no reason to throw that disrespect back at them because they threw it at you. just take a step back every once in a while and calm down a little when you get into that position, take it on the chin and move on.

Now the ban could be a short one, but the idea of the ban isn't to punish you, it is to help you realise you can't go around behaving however you please. So hopefully you can figure out how to be a little less confrontational and a little more productive when the ban is lifted (not to say i'm accusing you of anything).

The biggest flaw with Steam moderation is that moderators are often appointed to specific games or forums, and so they are biased against any form of criticism against the game, and will be harsher compared to someone who is praising the game.

Their house - their rules. Just because it is a Steam ready-built doesn't change the fact. Same as each subreddit will be moderated by different standards.
You miss that humans rate human interaction. There is no one truth to follow, no rule apparatus to cover it all. That's why we have courts and judges whose decissions can even be appealed.

Also previous warnings/bans and your general behaviour will be taken into account.

in the end, my frustrations is because i feel, its unjust treatment, and it might seem pity to be furious over getting banned (from a community largerly made of neckbeards, and youth people) if run a communications platform, you have to deciede what is okay and whats not, and when you do you cant just enforce it half-the time and punish anyone who you're aim might land on, its either all okay or none of it is

You CANNOT know what infraction they received. How do you tell they got a warning, or anything else? The ONLY evidence you can see is if the user gets banned, and you check.

So don't use that argument because it's flawed. NObody doing a bad action excuses your bad action. Otherwise we'd have an awful lot of murderers on the streets wouldn't we? "Hey judge, I know I killed that guy, but there's plenty of other people that have done the same, so let me off, yeah?"

So yes, it's flawed for thos two major reasons. Someone else's behaviour is IRRELEVANT.

You know what you do here that is the cardinal rule - report, block, move on.

And why that is so is because you don't get pulled into breaking rules yourself, and you leave those with the ability to check EVIDENCE to deal with it.

So just do that, No exceptions.

It is NOT dumb. You just didn't read or abid by the rules you AGREED to.

It's very simple. Hentai games here are ALLOWED. Calling people idiots in conversation ISN't. It's clearly stated.

And again, none of this disputes my previous points.

Report block move on. THat's WHY it's so. YOu get childishly pulled into breaking rules yourself, so you got caught and you CANNOT tell what infraction the other party received unless they got an outright ban.

It does not matter what you believe is fair or not as game forums can enforce the rules as they see fit to an extent and if you got caught name calling or insulting other people then they had a right to ban you.

I strongly suggest you don't keep doing the same thing here also as they can revoke your privilege to use the forums at all if they so wish.

thank you! thats what im trying to get at these moderates are actually idiots and beyond inconsistent(if i get banned for saying this im straight up not buying anything on steam agian(luckly we got epic games) they are not enforcing the rules where it matters but spend to much time on harmless stuff like my thread

What makes you think you won't have the same issues with moderation at Epic's site?
