Missing inventory items

Has anybody else found items missing from their games library? Before anybody asks, no, I didn't trade or delete them. Yes, my computer has been in my control the entire time. I just noticed that I am missing 2 games from my library.

Well, it's been said on this forum that it's glitch week on Steam and many people are finding they are missing items and games, your missing inventory problem could be related to that.


If you recently purchased the game and want to refund it, then contact Steam support.

the new library has filters. much filters, many filters, there is so much filtering going on, you nearly could plug Steam onto your tap, to get filtered water.
a lot of people cannot handle these much filter options.
so easy statement: some filter settings hide the games.

but...
the search function of the library ignores those filters.
so the fastest way to sanity check the existence of some game in your library is: use the search.

games are bound to your account, not your computer.
so i only need access to your account to remove games from your library.
the function to (not) permanently remove games from your account is web accessible for free and paid subscriptions

That was to say that my account hasn't been accessed, to my knowledge, by anyone but myself. And if someone was to access it, why only delete 2 games?

These are also games I have had for years, I never get rid of games, even if I don't like them.

Exactly what 2 games are missing?

Have you gone to support, searched for one by name and selected "It's not in my library" as the problem?

Check the list of games steam has removed or if it's an issue with how steam counted the games.

You would have to know what games they were to see if they are still on steam or just a simple counting issue.

Wait, so am I to understand that after purchasing a game, it can be arbitrarily removed from my library without a refund being given?

Have you activated keys from dubious sites? Those get removed and you have to pay the game again because of fraud.

No, they were bought via steam

EA has only recently brought a lot of Origin exclusives back to Steam

Exactly. I think they were added to steam in june, so about two months ago

No, I have had 3 on steam much longer than that, I played all 3 back to back, AND I bought andromeda when it was new with a key... Unless I have COMPLETELY overlooked something, which is possible
