.... Yes it's normal because 100% of all off-steam 'loot' sites are SCAMS.

Don't use them. And, since you clearly already have dumped plenty of things into that site, I'm gonna go ahead and tell you right now:

Scan for malware. https://www.malwarebytes.com/

Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Change your password on a secure device.

Generate new back up codes. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage

Revoke the api key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey
** If there is nothing in the API key area, that’s fine. If there IS something, remove it. Nothing should be there.**

No items that have been traded away during this time will be returned to you.

Change your Email’s password on your computer for safety

Because I guarantee your account is compromised.

NEVER USE OFF-STEAM SITES for this. EVER. They are ALL. SCAMS.

Do you undestand how probability works?

What Zekiran says precisely. It cannot be emphasised enough that gambling sites are the dumbest things in the gaming world. They make a profit from YOU being gullible. That's the whole point.

You aren't going to win big.

And as he rightly points out it's worse than this because any third party site where you use your steam account is just asking for you to be hacked. DON'T do it.
Why do you even have one of those sites in your username?
Do you mean cases in steam?

Knifes are not expensive because of themselves. It costs keys to be lucky.

My estimation if its a 1% chance to get a yellow item, in average any user trying to get it will pay way more than 230 $. But might not get it anyway.

Apparently they edited their post, because there used to be a name of a very shady sounding url in it.

Posts can't be edited without leaving a mark. Comments can be deleted, but OP can't be edited that way.

Anyway, here's a quote to preserve the opening post:

As you can see, there is the name of one of those ever-shady case opening sites in the user's display name.

Also, with the lack of regulation on internet gambling, one should expect these sites to be rigged. The odds certainly won't be in favour of their users.

Oh yes, WE know that.

But it's no surprise that they prey on the young and gullible, so it's always worth stressing this as much as possible.

superfail again from the nonsense squad...

@OP:
restricted(yellow) itemchance is 0.25%
which is publicly known due to china laws.

it is 0.25% for every try. it is not cumulative more for every try.
after 400 tries, there would be a mathematical 63% chance that you would have gotten a knife.

after ~2000 tries, it is 99%.

if you really opened 400 cases, you have already spent $1000. if you dont have a donkey that poops money, that is a financially a very bad choice. reconsider your life.

So up to a few hundreds there is not much difference, you lose money.

This is perfect example of why these sites are dreadful. Well said.

They not only prey on the young and gullible, but they also work on people not understanding how odds work and prey on that too.

"Rigged" in a sense of "expensive items are extremly rare"? Yep. That's how gambling works, no matter where you try it.
For me case opening looks like a horizontal slot machine.
And each roll costs +2 $

Or at best its like a surprise egg, just without chocolate and more expensive. And you end up with the toy you did not want.
