Just google it have fun
Two things.

First off, if you're seeing porn on Steam via pop ups or something (I mention this because ti has happened in the past with people) then it's down to where YOU have been visiting on the internet and you picked up some adware or malware. You naughty boy!

However, if you're seriously saying Dead or Alive content is porn, then maybe Steam isnt the place for you if your sensibilities are that out of whack. I'm not having a go at you for this. What you find shocking is up to you. Just don't expect others to think similarly.

Dead or Alive, in the context of society and law in general across the whole of the western world, could not even be considered soft porn.

I'm sorry, but that's the demonstrable fact.

Yeah. I'm thinking he's somehow getting some malware issues.
Specifically adware.
THe SFM comment makes me think he's seeing those types of ads. :P

Well, it's happened a number of times over the years, and it's always amusing when it does as the users often come in all righteous and demanding and then they realise it's their on internet hbabits cause it and the sheepish withdrawal in silence is often priceless :)

Yeah. I didn't even know it was a thing until you brought it up, but it does not surprise me.

It's basically an extension of Rule 34 I suppose.

If it's said it exists, there is porn for it, then by extension it means that if there's some issue, on the internet, porn may be behind it :)
Never seen porn myself outside what's some people like to post in their own steam profile. Only adult thing I see is anime games that I always tell to stop showing.

I don't even know what ponr is myself. I thought it was some sort of small animal that goes "fnif".

I'm dead innocent me.

I think it was just advertising nude mods which I'm not sure why steam would allowed

Oh in that case it's easy to explain. A couple of years ago, after considerable feedback from users, they decided to lift restrictions on such content, as it was way too draconian. Ie, Valve let mature people decided on their own whether they wanted to see and buy such content, rather than big daddy Valve being the arbiter.

I don't want this to sound insulting, but there's no other way for me to put it that I can think of.

The thing is Steam is global. I know in America there's a big thing with religion and such sensibilities as even the softest of porn gets shocked responses. But Ithe thing is, the majority of the rest of the western world, especially here in Europe (cam I still say that, as I'm English? Never mind) mostly due to the lack of religiosity, it's considerably freer. Of course there are exceptions, as there's the obvious restrictions that still hang around in Germany, but you get the point.

As long as there's age gates, which there are, I personally can't see the problem unless something is circumventing it.

I suppose the bottom line here is to take a step back and ask yourself "this thing I think is offensive, could it be acceptable to others in general?" I think you'll understand from that.

Mild stuff like this really hasn't caused any decline in standards in any society so that's a big mark for it. If it still bothers you then just try to tweak your browsing habits on Steam.
