most of this should not be on Steam.
You could look into Reaper which is pretty cheap. Reason is also a good choice because you get a whole load of instruments included. And then there's my personal favorite of Ableton Live but that could end up being expensive, especially if you also want to use some of its own instruments.
Well in "Audio" thing, im looking for a Professional quality (software is just an extra tool and ik some have difference in quality) with a good/powerful DAW that allows me with "publisher rights" to sell my own hits + make or use extra plugins.
Reaper?
I hear about it but never tried, is it for free?
Im looking for a good DAW into Steam platform.. ik, external DAWs can be more professional or free as FL Studio... but paying $99 USD (Fruity Edition) for a extensive DAW that dont have Audio recording and no plugins?? + (i guess) without publisher license to sell own hits??
Im not looking for those which let u make songs very easier like a "Game engine" with lot of free assets to make a generic shooter: GameGuru for example...
Got it?
Other hand.
im not kidding with a Video Editor, i really want a Professional editor.
But as we know.. there's a lot with the typical tag "Steam Edition" with a good presentation from recognized companies..
I just want a answer from someone Specialized or with experience with DAWs..
Edit:
Pick what you think will be the most painless to use. A lot of people will say FL Studio, a lot of people will say Reaper. Why? Because it all comes down to personal taste.
Maybe watch some feature demonstration videos/pros and cons and determine for yourself? Ask yourself which one would work best in the long run?
The end result will always be based on your experience and creativity with your tools. That's impaired if you just can't get along with your work environment.
There's plenty of VSTs that set the foundation for creating whatever uniqueness you desire. But again, the end result depends on your experience with those plugins and your creativity. Think of it like buying a guitar, you give it your own personality...
Also what is this "publisher license" you speak of? A DAW does nothing more than help you arrange and render audio samples and MIDI information into one bounced track. Nobody will be able to tell what you used to create it.
Studio One Prime. Absolutely free. Lacks vst support. Limited feature set. Some nice native effects. Feature comparison here https://www.presonus.com/products/studio-one/compare-versions
A side note on presonus - if you buy a piece of their hardware (Atom pad, audio interface (about £100)) you get a free licence for the Studio One Artist.
Cakewalk by Bandlab. Absolutely free, features a few instruments, a guitar amp sim, full rewire support (I.e. load Reaper or Reason (slave)) using cakewalk as host. Features things like a community section or personal profile. Think soundcloud but not quite.
Behringer are making a free DAW which will no doubt support their own hardware. https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=541072
Audacity is properly free but quite limited in some respects but capable of jobs other DAW programs aren't. Think DTMF tones, centre cancelling, vocal extraction.
There might still be a free version of Tracktion available. Not sure, I have a licence for it somewhere. Not used it so no personal comments I am afraid..
Check out DaVinci Resolve it is a free nle vide editor. It also has some sound mixing functionality.
Professional level DAW programs will run you £300 - 400 as an outright purchase.
Personally, I have been using Studio One for a few years now. I use the professional version as it also has support for mastering and video import. I have most of the software mentioned installed.
No one DAW can do everything. This is why I have the others like audacity, Reason (free key), Reaper (free key - however it's only free for a limited time). Some are rewire slaves some rewire hosts.
I have been using Presonus stuff for ages. It's my "go to". I have their hardware and software. I started with an Artist licence, upgraded twice and then upgraded the pro version.
I also have 3 spare licences for the artist version which I can sell. It's a pain and I am not sure how to do it. But it's possible.
