Why don't all games count for achievement completion?
Eleven games in my library beat. Made neat little sub-folder for it. Only six of them count. :steamsalty:

Someone on the forums said free games don't count.

Not true. Loading Screen Simulator counted. (found out they added an achievement, just had to go back and get that this morning)

Look to the right side of each storepage for those games. If it states: Steam is still learning about this game or Profile Features Limited. They do not count and will not until they reach a threashold of sales or the likes.
No idea what the exact threashold is.

Also, my "AStats" page tells me:

20 games completed 100%.
2 at 100% now removed from the store.

This "20" seems to match the number given by Steam, which suggests that they aren't counting games that aren't in the store anymore.

Only if the game was removed by Valve. Games removed from sale by the publisher (e.g. due to licensing) still count.
8bit Bayonetta for example still counts for me.

Games removed by Valve don't count. https://steam.madjoki.com/apps/banned

There are also games that are in the "Learning" phase...

And also games with "Profile Features Limited..."

Not for me, apparently. I don't have a lot of experience with AStats, but the 2 games that they mention are "Doctor Who: The Adventure Games" and "Mark of the Ninja". I believe Doctor Who was just removed; Mark of the Ninja was replaced with an Enhanced Edition.

I don't think either of them was forcibly removed by Valve.

mark of the ninja is not really removed from the store

214560:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/214560/Mark_of_the_Ninja/
860950:
https://store.steampowered.com/app/860950/Mark_of_the_Ninja_Remastered/

and doc who was removed by the pub/dev, probably due to licensing. it still is available to the api as a normal product unlike games that are banned.

Mark of the Ninja definitely still counts for me, at least the three achievements I have in it.

Judging by the second guy on the leadboards, the astats completed has no relation to Steam's counter. They have 1722 perfected according to Steam and at astats it's
1.801 games completed 100%.
394 at 100% now removed from the store.
17 games at 100% that have 100% broken achievements.

That doesn't add up in any way.

Hi, in my case, both of those labels aren't present. I bought 3 games which doesn't have either of the labels mentioned yet my count didn't add +3. This is the first time I encountered such since they usually count. What could be the reason?

Valve recently moved three Half-Life games (Episode 1, Episode 2, and Lost Coast) from Games to Tools, so they no longer count towards your total number of games. So if you had those games and just bought 3 other games, the end total would be the same.

Hi, your answer isn't responsive to my question but thanks for sharing another info of why it's not counted.

However, the games aren't the one you mentioned and the games I bought are "Waifu Secret", "Slit-Mouthed" and "Teke-Teke" (the one which has no "Limited Profile Features" version). Each doesn't have Limited Profile Features or Steam is learning this game.
