Where did the "Last Online" go on the profile pages?
Title.

It just feels uncomfortable. Every Steam profile, where the user is offline at the moment, just feels like a dead profile. You don't even know, if the person behind it is still alive. You can't tell if the person logged in a few minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or even years ago to his steam account. I find it a great pity, that more and more functions/features are being removed or they are set to "Private" or "Friends only" by default. The Game Details-feature (this thing here), which was introduced in 2018, already sucked really hard. I mean, there's nothing wrong with introducing new privacy functions, but seriously: Does the default value has to be "Friends only" or "Private"? If you create a fresh, new Steam profile, the profile is also not set to "Private" or "Friends Only" by default. No, it is public by default. And besides, if you didn't want, that others can see your recently played games or the time of your last logg in, you could already have set your profile to private and/or just use the invisible/offline status in steam chat. As more and more features are removed or made private by default, Steam will be a dead platform in the future.

I'm trying to understand the use case of that information. Knowing when a profile was last online is, all by itself, without doing anything with this information, a principle thing.
I refuse to assume this to be a principle thing and am trying to learn of the use to understand the situation myself.

The point behind this is, that all these functions (or features in general) give the profile more expressiveness. We're lucky, that here on Steam, we can still design our profile completely by ourselves, it's like, that you have your own page and there you can fully develop your creativity and let your imagination run wild, you can get backgrounds, upload artworks and display them on your profile, move showcases up or down as you like and not, like on youtube, where you only have just a banner and a round profile picture + where not everything is on one page. Thanks to the idiots, who want to bring a mobile flat design on desktop pc's. If you think in this way, why do you have such a high Steam level and have a backgound, why did you put showcases and even artworks on your Steam profile? But hey, these features are also useless and doesn't make any sense, lets remove them also. Remove Backgrounds and lets just have a banner like on youtube or even better: Nothing and at the end steam is like epic game store. No profiles, no reviews, no artworks, no user content, no workshops. Just a simple, modern hipster flat/material design on a desktop plattform. However..
Does anyone still remember the old youtube channel design? Where, similar to Steam, you could design everything completely according to your own wishes? It's basically like the current steam profile layout, but even with a bit more functions. Here is an example.

I wish this time would comeback, the internet gets more and more sh*ttier. Because of mobile flat designs and eu gdpr garbage, which brings us, as normal users, a sh*t, except that the internet will get more and more restricted for us and the big data collectors can still do their things.

gone with the wind .. for whatever reason, probably privacy since you still see that info on your friends. this was not communicated by Valve.

Yeah... I don't get why they remove features that makes sense. lol.
I hope they bring it back.

I don't see how the feature was of any use. It wasn't even accurate.

Yeah. And it's still there if the other person is on your friendlist -- which is also a case where it might not be completely pointless.
I wish this would be comeback. It was pretty useful, to be honest. Now you can't see, if a person was 3 days ago or 3000 days ago online... :/

As a Steam Trade Match user, I liked be able to see if the person I was about to send a trade to was last online 10 minutes ago or 10 days ago. Used to give me an idea of how long I'd need to wait for the trade to be accepted. That was about all I used that info for...
