the reply function in the discussions is kind of annoying

whenever i post a discussion or visit one it's kind of difficult to read the replies. the box thing is annoying. when you reply someone, their comment goes in a box with your reply under it and if someone replies that they both go in individual boxes and they are all over the place. the reply to a comment needs to be under that comment in the same place like literally any other platforms with comment section like youtube, facebook etc. its just a thought

OP is suggesting Steam should use the same structure of replies just like Facebook/YouTube/Instagram. Hhmm...not bad thought but why? Steam is more cozy to post in and easier to use rather than clicking a button that allows me to read through all comments. Idk I may be lazy but Steam Forums are fine as they are.

I do not now, nor will I ever, want Steam's forum hubs to look or act like other media.

Learn how to format and read formatted comments. It's pretty easy, and contextual when you know how to read.

I visit forums every day and all of them are just like Steams. I'm curious how the OP can state that ANY other platform is like Reddit/Youtube.

That said, I do not want these forums to become like that. Reddit/Youtube and such are annoying to use.

Steam discussions work just fine; you just have to edit the quote box to make sure all of it is relevant. Same as replying to EMail.

Youtube is annoying, because you can't see who's replying to whom.

What if there's more than one reply? A reply to the reply? Youtube just mashes things together with no indication of structure, and they have no quote-markup either.
