Why do you think some PC gamers are so elitist?

It really makes me cringe when I see some kid go on and on about why PC gaming is so superior.

Even the K/M mouse kids are ridiculous.

I thought PC gaming was supposed to be a more mature crowd.

Maybe it's just that these people that are louder than the rest of us?

We got a lit of console scrub immigrants. But I suppose it comes from the fact that pPC game has traditionally been a more challenging platform to game on and so if you were a PC gamer you were usually a littl smarter than a comsole gamer.

I never said I was a wordsmith. Just smart enough to assemble my own machine from an assortment of pass and have it smoke any store bought rig.

Which is the other part of where the intelligence comes in. YOu had to be smart enough to actually build a decide gaming rig.

I know from personal experience that if you have $600 and you have a choice between buying a PS4 and buying a $600 PC. GET THE PS4!!!

That depends. You can build a pretty decent rig for $600 but yeah genrally speaking consokles are cheaper in the short term./ However since PC's offer backwards compat and mor eversatility in uses...

$600 would definitely get you going in the right direction for a decent starter PC

PC gaming is way more expensive than consoles (at least in the part prices) and the parts are more swag-ish compared to a console, therefore creating the illusion of "master race" and people of course are happy to brag about that.

In the long run console games are more expensive, but in the short run PCs are much more expensive than consoles.

PC gamers are not the only ones. Console also has it's fair share of elitist.

What system is bette? Why but X system over Z system?

Consles are just PCs these days with a specialized OS and modified hardware. They have neve backtracked on trying to extend the life cycle of a console by adding incrementally upgraded systems.

PlayStation NEO[www.trustedreviews.com] and "Xbox One-Two" are good examples. Those systems are about 3 years old, yet they are making upgraded models with more power that would normaly be released as a new console.

If the PS NEO comes out at the current system's price ($300-$350), then that would be spening $700-$750 on a console (assuming PS4 launch purchase of $400) and it is still expected to only last another 3-4 years.

Then, as pointed out, there are the price of the games AND the price of PS Plus if you want to play online.

There are pros and cons for both PC an console. In the end, it just boils down to prefrence.

Those with a strong opinion always voice them higher than those who do not. They are few, but comes off as many. No crowd is more mature than the other.
