Are there countries with no video games?
Yes there are, there are countries with no video games, eg. North Korea, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Sudan, South Sudan, Greenland, and West Sahara, no one play games in North Korea, Iran, Syria and Cuba due to restriction, and no one Play games in Sudan, South Sudan, West Sahara, and Greenland due to no signal

I thought a certain Korean leader did play but maybe the rumor is wrong...
Laws and restriction never stopped people from doing what's prohibited. also digital download is not the only way of distribution of games.

Errr. Yes, people play videogames in all those places, too.

If you're going off of the download server map then it's a pretty weak argument because there are posts from places like Iran and Syria on the forums all the time.

Obviously, the whole argument is flawed, but I'm fascinated by this part - since when has no signal (?) meant no video games?

~60,000 people in Greenland. Neverending nights in winter, and you dare to claim none of them has taken up gaming to pass the time...

Think before you speak.

Maybe NK but I don't think any of those other countries have any restrictions, and the NK elite do famously get access to a lot of stuff the public doesn't. As for "Countries" (Greenland?) with bad internet, not only does signal vary depending on region and Satellite is always a thing, but physical games are still an option on consoles and used to be a thing on PC.

Maybe on some isolated islands or some isolated areas of South America and very poor areas in South America and Africa where people live in corrugated iron shacks living in squalor. But i very much doubt the majority of the world has no access to computers and very basic computer games if nothing else.

I heard a rumor that the king of North Korea loves The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion because in a propaganda video they released with Obama and the flag on fire, they played the Oblivion theme looped.

Since all PC games started requiring DRM through Steam to activate.

They don't, and mobile hotspots, satellite internet, activating games while traveling, VPN, etc are all a thing.

That's not even counting there are these things called consoles that are video games.
