From https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=5MYcqyvMFUM it seems there's lots of text to reas, quite a bit of typing, and quite complex gameplay. Seems more a 7 years+ game to me.
I'll consider it, obviously we can play together, but I'm keen for them to do most of the gameplay if possible.
TokiTori2+ and BotW are fine art the starting level, if they didn't get harder they'd be perfect!
I'm after desktop computer games; they don't have to be on Steam though.
match 3 based games. stuff like "bejeweled" or probably more known to you, "candy crush"
"where is waldo" games, also known as hidden object. stuff like "hidden folks" or "under leaves"
those genres usually dont have time elements or not much at least.
then gradually let them play quake and cs and raise shroud 2.0 ... j/k.

If you have to, look into what is usually described as "casual" games. Something bright, colourful, with few moving parts. In this case hand out brief gaming sessions as a reward two or three times a week.
If we talk about under 3 year, then there are a few easy games that have you click and move stuff, if above 3 then you can begin to introduce abit more advanced stuff. There is a "kids" tag on steam.
If we had talked about 5-10 year olds, then I would also say that Splunky is super good..
You want a mastermind once it grew up? Let it have crusader kings or there are a ton of free chess games. Otherwise my little pony. No violence, colorful and a maximum of harmony.
