Has anyone seen the Assassin's Creed Movie?
What did you think of it?

I saw the movie with my friend Sarah. It was AWESOME!!! I liked that it set up the end to allow the idea to either let it stay where it is, or has a sequal.
Assassin's Creed is arguably better made (and certainly better cast) than most video game adaptations; unfortunately, the CGI-fueled end result still is still a joylessly overplotted slog.
describes it pretty well or in other words for my area: definitely not worth $15.

I thought it was pretty good too! I think many of the people who didn't like it, probably had not played the game.

is it like trying too hard to be like all ninja and things?
I rather have bamboo shoots stuck under my nails then to see this God awful movie.

I saw bad reviews so I didn't go watch it. I might watch it when my friends get back though just to see if it's as bad as everyone says it is.
It's really not bad. Problem is, it's not very well explained and that can make it confusing for those who haven't played the games.

Overall it's a very solid movie, but I feel I have to split the score. For Assassin's Creed newbies, it's a rather underwhelming 5/10. You'll spend 90% of the movie wondering what the hell is going on. For the initiated, it's a very solid 7.5/10 helped along with some great shots and Fassbender's strong performance.
Not gonna go see it but at least the movie only wastes 2 hours of your time with mind-numbingly boring and convoluted drivel whereas the first game took over 20 hours of my life that I'll never get back.

If anything, they should've adapted Ezio's story to the big screen imho (as long as they didn't pull a Prince of Persia and got an actual POC actor to play him).
As Wolfey says, if you haven't played assassins creed, it probably won't make sense to you. They didn't pick a bad actor, they picked Fassbender who's a great actor. It's like when Spiderman first came out, some critics gave it bad reviews, but it's because they didn't read the comic books.
Funny, I'd imagine being familiar with the series would make it harder to enjoy the movie. With that stupid animus, I was expecting other inconsistancies that people who aren't fans wouldn't pick up on.

I was only interested in watching it to keep up with the story, but then I heared that it's unrelated to the games.
It was awesome until half way through it asked us to pay for DLC to see the rest of the movie, then it couldn't connect to Uplay because the theater manager forgot his login password.

I wasn't even able to see it, it kept crashing when the theatre director tried to boot it.
i saw it, it was horrible. They took the best part of the movie, the action sequences, and totally destroyed them by having constant flashbacks to him in the device that he was in, back and forth, back and forth, through the WHOLE movie. It 100% ruined the movie and made it annying and stupid. It looked like they took a lot of time getting the action sequences done and if they would have just stopped with the flashbacks it would have been ok and enjoyable, the scenes really looked nice.
I know it wasn't the best movie out there, but I thought it was still good. I thought Rogue One was pretty good.
