Overall it's a very solid movie, but I feel I have to split the score. For Assassin's Creed newbies, it's a rather underwhelming 5/10. You'll spend 90% of the movie wondering what the hell is going on. For the initiated, it's a very solid 7.5/10 helped along with some great shots and Fassbender's strong performance.
If anything, they should've adapted Ezio's story to the big screen imho (as long as they didn't pull a Prince of Persia and got an actual POC actor to play him).
I was only interested in watching it to keep up with the story, but then I heared that it's unrelated to the games.
I wasn't even able to see it, it kept crashing when the theatre director tried to boot it.
