What gimmick will NVidia have fior the RTX 5000 series in end 2024-2025 ?
RTX 2000 series had RTX and Ray Tracing
RTX 3000 series had DLSS 2.0
RTX 4000 series has DLSS 3.0 frame-generation

What will be the RTX 5000's gimmick in your opinion? Some say that the next RTX GPUs will be MCM-based design but that's something that AMD has already done. We also can expect that the RTX 5000 finally will be DP 2.1 , which AMD has already done on their GPUs. So what else can we expect? Can we expect a DLSS 4.0 ? If yes, what would it do ? Maybe we can expect some kind of ShaderTensorCores to boost up the shader compilation to avoid stuttering in PC games? Maybe we can also expect a betterement of the G-Sync technology which hasn't improved for the last years?

A state of the art custom XX-ATX mobo to plug in their gpu double the size of the last one.

Motherboard sold separately, or if you would like, pay $10,000 for both.

You'd need a crane to take the rig anywhere.

RTX 5090, DLSS 4.0 upscaling the textures
RTX 6090 (nice), M.2 SSD slot in the GPU + direct storage

All I want is at least as much TDP efficiency improvement as we saw when jumping from Pascal to Turing, with a commensurate price increase instead of it being astronomical. (E.g. the 1070's 150W TDP to the 2070's 175W, but representing at least a 40% or more performance uplift not accounting for RT.) That's the only selling point I'm interested in.
A nuclear reactor to power the damn thing.
steam elelctric generators on the card to recapture all that heat and pump it back into computer

At least, it would be clean energy.

The Nvidia RTX 40xx series using DLSS 3.0 (A.I frame generation) is extremely good for 4K resolution + HDR + Ray Tracing users.

If you have actually used it to the max performance/resolution, you would not consider it as just a gimmick. You just have no idea. You can get double the frame rate for 120Hz or higher monitors, which otherwise wouldn't be possible and just tank at the same 4K resolution / max settings. I highly recommend it for 4K users (merely ignore it if you are still using 1080p or 1440p). It's a future proofing step up for the next generations.

A wasn't using gimmick in the pejorative way. What features if you wish.

Another way to fake frames. The newest interpolation is subpar.

Oh and one of those disposable cologne packets in a leather jacket scent.

Nah, it'll need constant maintenance and always be on the verge of a meltdown.

That way when the 6000 series comes out a year later, they can advertise their new and improved thorium reactor with a 30% less chance of a meltdown over the previous card, but it will come with a bunch of idiot protestors if you get anything less than the 6090ti+.

Well the next NVIDIA RTX 50xx Series is currently codenamed as ‘Blackwell’. It's working upon a denoising accelerator for Ray Tracing and Path Tracing. That will be a serious performance leap, perhaps one of the biggest in history.

If it compares anything to the current GeForce RTX 4090, you will not be disappointed. Only downside might be the price tag.

As for the DLSS 3, next gen games will support it more and they will probably likely just keep with it. You will just get a lot more newer games making good usage of it.
