Steam Discussions: Yep, still there.
Steam has had such features long before Discord existed. It has been a gaming and social platform for just as long too.
I don't see much value in expecting ANOTHER corporation to bail you out of that problem.
It might be one service for almost all communication needs, but it is stupidly fractured - either you join dozens of groups and get overwhelmed by notifications or you are missing out on conversation about the topic as a whole with little chance to update yourself. Because it is completely trashing internet archival. You have a tech- or game-related question? Go to discord. Let yourself get chewed out because you are the umpteenth guy who asked it. Yet how are you supposed to find any information if there is no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ record of it to be found?
