Birthday notification
What if you guys add a Birthday notification to steam? like if someone's birthday is today you send a notification to his friends to remind them and suggest them to buy him a game and take them directly to their wishlist or let them buy a game of their choice! what do you guys think?

The concept of birthday itself doesn't make much sense, no reason make it even more ridiculous.

Sounds more like, i want free games because its my birthday. And not to mention about the personal information issue.

Birthdays are not stored on Steam and I don't think they wanna store it because there might be legal issues or something.

Yes, you have to enter it sometimes and yes, it is remembered but that happens in a cookie locally on your device, it is not stored on Steams servers.

Don't get me wrong, I've nothing against this idea but just a heads up not to have too high expectations of it happening.
This sounds like a suggestion for begging for free games without actually begging.

Just go to your friend's activity and say it's my birthday, now buy me games on my wishlist. It has the same effect.

Post your birthday on your profile info box at the top and if those who have any interest in it can view your wishlist and might take it upon themselves to purchase one for you.

No thanks, I don't want to be bombarded by messages saying its so and so birthday and I don't want my birthday broadcast out to other people.
