Translate Game titles onto other languages
I wanna have Video Games on the Steam Market to have their titles translate onto other languages depending where or what language the person uses
I wanna make that the game's titles will be different in different languages, and I believe it's helpful because, for example, Movies and Books gets translated all the time, but even big budget hits Games never have their title translated (Almost all of them are in English and basically lingua franca of them)
I'm Russian and I wanna have games translate their titles onto my native language
However, I believe it should be developer's choice to translate their game's title or no, especially for Indie developers

No. NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!

Do you know how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying this is?! Localized names are the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worst. Sony had a knack of doing this BS for some titles. Do you know how long it takes you do find a game with a localized name?! It's not like there is a 1:1 relation to translations.

Disney movies in my country are serial offenders of this. Do you know stupid you look if you are going into a shop looking half an hour for "Moana" only to be told by a clerk that it's called "Vaiana"? Or thinking "Frozen" is some direct-to-DVD spin-off because they also *have* to add a stupid tag line to the title?

Do you know how ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid book titles - and as a result their movie adaptions - are localized over here?
"The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" -> "Blinding"
"The DaVinci Code" -> "Sacrilege"

Hell to the no.

Please no. I'm already sick of bad book and movies title translations.

To my language they translated Fast and Furious as Hell Streets, Prison Break is The Law of Brothers
Many translations don't make sense or they're just plain stupid.
I don't want that happening to games too.

And also many things are just impossible to translate right.
Just example: In my language you couldn't translate Dead by Daylight because you can't just say "dead" without saying who's dead in that same word.
So basically it would have to be translated as They are Dead by Daylight or We are Dead by Daylight or something like that.

So I'd just like if game titles stays in its current state.

Wait, they translate Books and Movie titles onto Bosnian with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ quality, right?
Well, I guess sorry for you, I never heard Bosnian language but seeing this message I think 90% of translated things in your country are butchered
Also, I like Bosnia

The steam translation project is a crowd sourced project that translates game pages to various languages. If you want to participate then sign up

https://translation.steampowered.com/

If you're referring to specific games, contact the developer to translate them.

Title translation is usually done as part of a country specific traditional marketing campaign. Games don't tend to be marketed in such a manner, and the ones that do, rely on the brand recognition of the English title.
