Egypt Currency & Arabic Language
First :
I would like to know if my country ( Egypt ) currency ( EGP ) will be added to Steam because we can no more afford the Base price for games in USD due to 1 USD = 17.94 EGP[www.xe.com] and still new released AAA games cost full $59.99 and this is not fair compared to the prices in other countries for example “ Rise of the Tomb Raider ” in Turkey $16.01, Russia $19.79 and China $23.05 while in Egypt $59.99 and the economy and salaries equal or even worse than some of them as I will explain and there are source links for the information below ( Average Monthly Net Salary[www.numbeo.com], XE Currency Converter[www.xe.com] and Top 100 Countries / Markets by Games Revenues[newzoo.com] ) :

As you see above I tried to mix countries some in similar or better economy status and some in geographical location way. So as you see the market ( The 37th in the World, 3rd in the Middle East and the Arab world and 1st in Africa in terms of games revenues ) not that bad to be supported. And for example “ Me ” I was able to purchase games while 1 USD was equal 7 EGP it was kinda affordable but need some saving and it was okay but now for about more than 2 years I can’t purchase games any more and there is people like me most of Avg and below Avg workers can’t afford the price for games any more while they have other expenses for living .. I know gaming and games it is not a matter of life or death but we would like to purchase and support our favorite games and developers / publishers. BTW Microsoft Store for Windows and Google Play Store for Android both have applied prices according to the country economy and currency for a long time.

Second :
When will the Arabic language be added to Steam ?!! .. Just as an example given the latest update as I read. You have added the Vietnamese language for Vietnam[www.worldometers.info] ( 96,491,146 ), Improved the Japanese language for Japan[www.worldometers.info] ( 127,185,332 ) and this is really a wonderful thing. Working on adding new languages and updating others. I do not have any grudge against these languages or the countries. I just took them as an example from the latest update as I mentioned above. But Arabic is important for Steam too because it is a language spoken by 401,191,661 as below ( BTW there are 3 or 4 countries that I forgot to add them ) :

  1. Egypt[www.worldometers.info] ( 99,375,741 )
  2. Algeria[www.worldometers.info] ( 42,008,054 )
  3. Sudan[www.worldometers.info] ( 41,511,526 )
  4. Iraq[www.worldometers.info] ( 39,339,753 )
  5. Morocco[www.worldometers.info] ( 36,191,805 )
  6. Saudi Arabia[www.worldometers.info] ( 33,554,343 )
  7. Yemen[www.worldometers.info] ( 28,915,284 )
  8. Syria[www.worldometers.info] ( 18,284,407 )
  9. Tunisia[www.worldometers.info] ( 11,659,174 )
  10. Jordan[www.worldometers.info] ( 9,903,802 )
  11. United Arab Emirates[www.worldometers.info] ( 9,541,615 )
  12. Libya[www.worldometers.info] ( 6,470,956 )
  13. Lebanon[www.worldometers.info] ( 6,093,509 )
  14. Palestine[www.worldometers.info] ( 5,052,776 )
  15. Oman[www.worldometers.info] ( 4,829,946 )
  16. Kuwait[www.worldometers.info] ( 4,197,128 )
  17. Qatar[www.worldometers.info] ( 2,694,849 )
  18. Bahrain[www.worldometers.info] ( 1,566,993 )

So at the end I hope that you guys can help us and countries in the same case and turn my dream to become true 😊. Keep the good work guys and I will still hoping for more support for us 😊.

Which doesn't matter as the majority of the speaker will never be Steam customers.
That'S Valve's statistcs:
https://store.steampowered.com/stats/content/

Take a look at Vietnam that got regional support recently. It has pretty much the same traffic as all Middle Eastern + Maghreb (excluding Israel, but INcluding Saudi Arabia and UAE aka Oil Sheikh territory).

You are simply not on the radar yet.

There is an Arabic Translation group, though I don't know how active they are in translating now:
https://steamcommunity.com/groups/arablang
But Steam also stated it'S not interested in adding further languages to the translation servers for now.
About translations...

Q: Will you be adding any additional languages to STS?

We do appreciate your interest in the Steam Translation Server and improving Steam for users in your region. However, we currently aren't looking into adding any further languages to STS.

A problem with Arabic support right now is that the UI system Steam uses, called VGUI, doesn’t support right-to-left languages like Arabic.

This should hopefully change in the future as they’re switching over Steam to be entirely web-tech based (the Chat system was switched over recently) which means Steam will be able to support Arabic in the future.

To be honest I kinda knew that 😊, But I tried to get our voice out about it so they know that we still here and need to be supported 💪. And that's why I mentioned it as a second thing in my main topic 😉.

Yeah I know that chat system become web based and can be opened through browsers now, And I hope they will continue switching other elements as you said, And Arabic become supported in the near future 🤞👏.

Okay. Let's say i will accept that as UI issue and they aren't looking into adding any further languages to STS at least for now.

But as you mentioned above, I saw it and I found that no reason anymore for not supporting EGP. Tom Giardino said " But where we've really seen things start to take off recently his territories like Middle East and Asia " so there is no point for not supporting currency like EGP especially because First they added ( Qatari Riyal, Kuwaiti Dinar, Saudi Riyal and U.A.E. Dirham ) in Nov 2017 and ( South African Rand ) I think in 2016, Second ( Egypt is the 1st in Africa, 3rd in the Middle East and the Arab world and 37th in the World in terms of games revenues ) as I mentioned in my main topic above while for example ( Qatar is the 4th in the Middle East and the Arab world and 50th in the World - Kuwait is the 6th in the Middle East and the Arab world and 58th in the World ) add to that the size of the market so for me there is no reason for not supporting it. On the contrary, lack of support leads to the loss of the market from a business perspective 😊😊.

They are always looking to add more every year. They usually do that around the Autumn sale in Nov. If not this year, maybe next year.

I/they never said they weren't going to.

Yeah, I know mate that you / they never said they weren't going to add it. I'm just tried to share my situation and my point of view 😉😊.

It's not about the idea of discussing it, it's about if their is any news from steam team about anything or not.
If there was, we wouldn't know until it happens. They do currency additions 1x a year around November.
