Steam medals for completing a game 100%

I know the satisfaction comes from completing the game itself, but wouldn't be nice if they give you a special medal when you get all of the achievements?

would be nice if valve added an option for developers to add a badge and granted 0xp upon completing a game, it would not harm anyone this way, since valve already has a value of completed games, they could just replace that with the developers badge they created.

perhaps give that "perfected game" it is own tab, where you can see the games you have perfected.

Trouble is, Valve don't want to moderate the store, IE they let any old trash in including achievement spam.

The achievement spam developers would happily supply you with 10 rubbish platform games that you can complete each in five minutes all of which would give you one of these medals.

But they're just medals, you can't resell them. The value depends on the difficulty of the games. Who cares if someone get 10 medals for easy games?

People can cheat achivements easily, so all that would do is give them more incentive to do so.

Yes but as long as you don't get exp or resellable cards, who cares? You cheated to get nothing. If you cheat to get the medal, wouldn't be the same as cheating for having a game completed 100%? It wouldn't change anything.

Those who actualy earn the medals instead of chating them. One would receive something for doing nothing, while other would be earning it.

So it would be the same as cheating achivements since achivements as they are basically the same idea.

I don't want a medal to brag about it and don't care if someone cheat the way to it (it would also be very very sad to do so). And the situation would remain the same, with people who would cheat to get the medal instead of every achievement. There's no real satisfaction in having a medal, the satisfaction would come from achieving it. So it would be the same situation, but with the addition of medals for completion, then why not adding them?

Doesnt' matter what you intend to do with it, it is the overall picture that needs to be looked at and is what Valve will look at.

It would be cool to have the medal, I meant that what kind of a sad person would cheat just to get a "pointless" thing since it wouldn't be used to get money? I can't believe Steam won't allow features cause of these guys, which are the minority. Is "punishing" them so important that they won't allow new features? If Valve doesn't want to have achievement cheaters, then why having achievement at all by your logic? People would cheat so let's not add any achievement. Even your logic isn't flawless (it's not meant to be in a aggressive way, I'm never sure about how people can read the tone from the text knowing the internet).

I don't remember how it go but badges make it look gold I think and achievements give it the highest thing of it like spreading out

Yes, but why add something that basicaly is an achivement, when you know it will just be cheated.

Developers can already ad a final achivement and call it a "trophy". As people expect badges to give XP, that is not likely to be an option, as again, achivements can be cheated.
