Default nicknames to what they are when you friend someone.

Obvious reason, some people change their names a lot, I'd like to have some reminder of which person someone is.

There could also be a one-click button to change nickname to the friends current name.

You can already change peoples names, when you first meet them, just add a nick name to them at the time, doesn't take long. why does valve need to waste time and money adding in a single button press for something that can take you seconds anyway? Just copy and paste their name.

You can give them a nickname right off the bat and change in the setting to see only nicknames.

To be completely honest I do it, I do think its possible some of them were not saved, and in times I don't get around to do it
Some type of auto system to give you the "Orignal" name from when you added them is helpful

Or the very least a way to see when they were added, and keep it also if you remove each other from the friend list (The Nickname)

I'd like to be able to add nicknames to non friends with the Steam client, I kinda do it already with enchanted Steam with web browser. They stay on blocked users but disappear after you re-log for non friends that you nickname, unsure if they stay with people you block add a nickname then unblock (assuming those go away too).
