so you cant really detect it
also its one player per a libary not per a game
you are sharing Libary
just for exsample you can play games they share with you, while they play games from your libary
and why not? well, fitst of all lost of sales limit
second of all these is here to do the same type of share you got on consle
there you can only share on one device that is your main
and s its only one device you cant play both on the same devce defrent or same games
On Steam Libary that share and your limited to 10 devices and 5 pepole in the same time
It can still not be called sharing when I can't play a game on my friends list unless he has to stop playing at all... We both have computers not consoles...
Sharing libary - not games? Then what can it be used for. I can see his games without the socalled sharing bs..
ok so sharing is only for rich ppl with both computers and consoles is that what you mean?
why will you buy it?
If you share your PS4 to a friend so he can play your games, you cant play your games at the same time
your family can play your games while you play there games
They can also honstly play al the DRM Free games if they do not start themfrom Steam
I tested xcom while he was locked out from his games so I could see if the game was for me.. I then bought it when I found out it was for me..
Nobody I knew had xcom 2 so I bought it and I'm more than disapointed..
Last time I will be buying a game blindfolded..
I am very sure I am not the only person saying that.
Why I would buy a game I like?.. Doesn't that say it all?
Why not support a game you like? It's not like they cost 100 dollars
Remmber its name? Family sharing
its not a demo serves, its also not build with friends in mind
I share with family they done a few games all ready and saved $ on buying a second copy...
and how where you blind folded? you got lets plays, reviews, a huge commuinty to ask
there is no need to buy blindfold demo or not
Over all it sounds like what youlooking for is a defrent system...
for time limit we got Guest pass, if the Devs give it
and if your friends did not have it family sharing was out of had any way
Look for reviews.
Look for actual game play videos.
Look in the discussion area for a game and see what people are saying about it.
Look on forums not on Steam to see what people are saying about it.
Ask friends who have it what its like.
There are lots of ways to find out what a game is like without having to actually play it before hand.
If there are no reviews of a game before release, that is a bad sign.
If there are no actual game play videos before release, that is a bad sign.
If no one is talking about the game in the discussion area before release, that is a bad sign.
If you can't find forums where people are talking about it before release, that is a bad sign.
If none of your friends will comment on the game after release of the game, you need better friends and its a bad sign.
Rule #1 with games, NEVER pre-order. In the last 5 years I can't count how many times people have been burned by bad games when they bought it on pre-order. And I'm not talking about just indie games, I'm talking about AAA games too.
Yes being able to play games while sharing your game at the same time will cost sales of the game. Why would I buy a 60 dollar game, after I have borrowed it from a friend and beat it? When I borrowed games from my friends on the consoles in the past and beat them, I didn't go to the store and then buy them. I bought games that looked interesting to me and I could not borrow from friends. Heck even renting games for a weekend, if I beat them, I had no reason to buy them or even rent them again.
Now times that by 150 million because thats how many active accounts there are on Steam. So the potential loss for both steam and the devs/publisher is around $9,000,000,000... 9 billion dollars. And thats just 1 game. Its more then likely around half that (after all some people have to buy the game in the first place)
And because IPs can be easily spoofed (why do you think they don't ban people by IPs) there is no way for them to limit it to just a specific house hold.
And while its true that they might not lose that whole amount of money, just the potential loss is enough for them to say "We're taking our game somewhere, where sharing of the game while the 2 accounts are being played on at the same time, is not allowed."
i cant eat the shared candy
if you share the libary you cant play on the shared libary
its not game share, its libary share
Ya, I do see the point but still annoying that it's called sharing when it's not the case.
I felt pretty fubared when we found out that wasn't the case....
Me personally won't get anything out of watching videos - gameplay - reviews etc..
I am handicapped and won't know if I can actually play the game unless I try.
It all depends on the surprises in the game or
if I can relax without sitting like I carry a ton in my arms etc..
some games I am forced to use a controller where other games makes it impossible for me to use it and blah blah blah..
(Not feeling sorry for myself - Just explaining why I wrote about trying the game b4 buying)
With preorder you mean early access or?
lol come on.. if we share a meal we dont eat the same steak, right ;)
either you totally misunderstand me or you just fool around?
you also munch on the germs from the other eater, in case of Steam, you get a VAC ban if a the other person gets one with your piece of meat.
and now i am hungry and disgusted at the same time.
due to Steam generous refund policy, as long as you play less then 2 hours and request a refund within 14 days after purchase .. you can basicly demo'ing games for a temporary loss of money. although the refund policy is not really meant for that, if you do this once in a while instead of doing your proper homework before a purchase, it will hurt no one.
and at least in my famliy some that eat less do share there food with the bigger eaters
if you dont eat the same food you not sharing it, and i am talking abut sharing food here
Abut finding a game
to know then try to find someone with as close type of problem to play that you got, im pretty sure there is a Cratur group that is on the subject
