Steam mini-profile not displaying at all

Has anyone else been having issues with Steam mini-profiles not displaying at all? I hover over my or other people's avatars and nothing happens. It has been like that for a couple weeks now, used to display just fine.

I've done some googling but it seems like the majority of threads about his are people not knowing what a mini-profile is or a specific background not displaying correctly. Any tips?

Hasn't been going on that long for most, but since a week or two, this problem appeared for many around here, yes.
Let's see, when Steam gets it sorted out.


P.S.: The forum search is not very good, but most times at least better than what Bing, Google and the other ones have to offer, if you sort by date.
Outside search engines tend to leave you with stuff, that was relevant years ago.

they display for sure in client, just not on the websites, like here f.e. because of a lil error.

Are you sure? I'm using the client right now and I see nothing here.

Hasn't been working for me for a few weeks. Both steam client and web.

which is a webbrowser for the most part.

steam settings -> interface -> check "display web address bars when available"
when you see the address bar, it's a website, not the client.

the miniprofiles work in chat/friends and library.

Ah, makes sense. Guess I never thought about it that way. You're right, I checked the chat and they work there.

+1 Mini profile not showing up for me in the client (neither mine nor anyone else's is appearing for me) and the menus inside my profile settings look odd. Places to enter text needlessly extend clear across the screen, huge empty spaces occur between steam avatars and profile backgrounds, steam avatar borders no longer all show up all the same page even though I have only 4 of them including the default). This has been going on for about 2 weeks for me I think. I think it might be related to the most recent steam update.

Where I note it stopped working, is here on the forums. Used to hoover someone´s name and used to open the miniprofile. Not working atm.

Same here not working. Can we refund our points that use to redeem mini profile ? Seems useless now since steam is not fixing it.
