So take a big release like Borderlands the Pre Sequel. How many Lira is that right now if you walk into, whatever the "BestBuy" is in Turkey (since I really have no idea on this).
That should give you a semi-baseline as to where prices are going.
Note that game pricing harmonization between retail and Steam happens when these currency conversions occur. In that whatever some AAA game is priced in retail stores, is likely the price it's going to be on Steam. So if you're looking at some game on Steam today, and if the price in Lira is cheaper in Turkey, you might want to wait.
But thinking about what you've said, you are right. The "Australian tax" as the internet calls it, is a prime example. Example that not Steam, but actually local retailers kinda set the price. Over here, initially prices are expensive. Eventually they drop to a cheaper price though. I hope it won't affect daily sales and stuff.
Like I said I dont know how your market works pricing wise. But if your retail games are more expensive than the USD conversion, then expect AAA games to jump in price.
However, with previous conversions for 'higher' priced currencies (Japanese Yen/Canadian Dollar/GBP/Euro/Norwegian krone) the conversion has 'generally' been as close to the currency exchange rate as possible. GBP/Euro has to collect VAT which is why prices are not a straight currency conversion metric as well.
If what you say about retail games in Turkey is the standard then
1) Expect AAA games on Steam to cost the same as they do in retail. Which in your case unfortunately likely means a price jump
2) Expect most other games on Steam to be prices 'fairly' close to a USD->Lira conversion
Again this is speculation but should be farily close to what happens.
That's not a wise strategy in a country where Piracy is common and unpunished. Just saying.
