Any games that require numpad?
I'd like to use a tenkeyless but I don't want to regret it when some game requires a numpad / won't let me rebind.

The only thing I can think is is NumLock is off and you don't have cursor/arrow keys. There are some games (usually old) that don't allow rebinding, but I can't recall any that use the NumPad.

iirc Final Fantasy 7 default is the num pad, so you wouldnt be able to get to the options page to reconfigure.

I believe Garry's Mod requires the use of a numpad in order to spawn dupes.

GTA 5 does for flying and a few other things. It's better to use a controller but in case you don't have either a numpad or a controller you're pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Most PC games will allow for remapping of in-game keys, so even if there is a game that requires the numpad, you could change it fairly easily. Though I don't know of many games that require the numpad.

That is true, however you can also use your mouse by right-clicking and moving the mouse. Most games will offer an alternative.

For a game like Caves Of Qud, a numpad is a godsend. I bought a USB wired numpad this week just for use with laptops and machines that don't have one in order to play Qud. And similar games, other traditional roguelikes such as Tangledeep, Tales Of Maj'Eyal, Dungeonmans, etc. Would love to learn of other games that benefit from a numpad!

I'm just here to annoy the people who don't like necroposting.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
