Custom Info Box text limit?
I've been adding more and more text in the Custom info box on my profile. Trying build up a general background about myself and my gaming life in much detail as possible. But noticed the text that I written before is chopped off after adding more at the top.

So I'm presuming that there's a text limit for custom info box. Even if there's a scrollbar for the custom info box.

Yes unfortunately, there is a 8,000 Character Limit. As for the reason why there's a limit, I have no idea. Maybe just made profiles appear too big, even with the scroll bar.

But isn't that what the custom info box is about to personalize your profile and surely text shouldn't take much server space.

Beats me, I love to have the freedom to customize my profile to the fullest extent, but I honestly have no idea why there's an 8000 Character Limit for the info box.

What about the more info box under the profile name how much text can that hold?

Ok well I'll copy and paste the custom info text into the other one to see if it would fit more text.

Well I was using the more info box as my announcement message though.

It's a pity we can't have more than 1 custom info box.

Yeah, Valve probably won't allow 2 in the future, so I guess we'll just have to improvise.

8000 chars are 57 tweets, in other words, nobody will read that.

One solution is to make a group for yourself and post things there, even allowing interaction with other users.
