google how torrent actually works.
If it is offered by the official site, then it is allowed. Just don't use any other links for it.
As for safe? As you are downloading it from other users, there is always the chance of infection.
That is the issue with any AV. If it doesn't find anything, then you thing "Is it not working?", but if it does find something, you think "This AV sucks because these viruses are getting through!".
I use Kaspersky as well. It does protect you. Chances are you just never ran into anything it needed to protect you from.
i got malwarebyte as well, it found 5 adwares immedeatly
Malware and a Virus are two diffrent things. I have both Kaspersky and Malwarebytes on my computer for protection. I also run Spybot S&D every now an then too.
if you are on a slower unstable connection or you want to take full advantage of your connection and normal http downloads cannot deliver speedy enough, torrent is a boon.
Any time you leave your connection open to another system makes your system vulnerable in some way. Even on a torrent, things can get injected along the way or someing put onto your system since the ports and your IP are open to an unknown system.
I didn't say something will happen, only that there is a chance of it vs direct download.
And with a torrent you are downloading from hundreds of systems, not just one. Depending on the client, you may also be sending date to other systems as well.
The more system involved, the greater chance of an issue.
As uploads also count when you have a date cap, it may also cause you to reach that cap quicker.
