I did not recieve my rust skins after the trade was successful

Earlier, today I got gifted 2 rust skins. I accepted them ..even in my trade history it shows that I accepted the trade for those items - but they are not in my inventory.. What should I do?

talk to who ever gifted you the items. all 3rd party sites are USE AT OWN RISK

have them verify the trade went thru and didnt get cancelled and redirected to a different account. its also possible there are server issues delaying the items showing in the inventory, try restarting steam.

Since you have 3rd party sites in your name, it's safe to assume that you gave away your login credentials to a phishing site or some other means that allowed someone to have access to your account and redirect trades if that is what happened, all trades are final so items won't be given back to you, but you need to secure the account.

- Scan your computer. (Optional).
- Deauthorize all other devices.
- Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App.
- Change your password. (Email optional) on a secure device.
- Revoke the API key.

If I could somehow show you my screen - I would.. No one has access to my account and I know that.. The problem was that -it shows in the trade history that I got those items.. but a second after getting them I went to my inventory but they were not there.

No you don't. You have two sites linked to phishing in your name history alone and those could easily be sitting idle on your account and API key without your knowledge as you've clearly submitted your credentials to them.

your rust inventory is not initialized, simply start the game once.

it happened to my friend too, he traded for the first item and the item showed in his inventory with no problems but the second time he did, the item didn't show up and it clearly says that he received the item so he wasn't hacked or anything

The sites in your profile name are known scam sites plus you are not allowed to advertise them on Steam, your profile name will change.

Do you have an api key? If one exists your account is compromised.

it has nothing to do with api, he would have seen that he sent the items to another person in his trade history but it's not the case, it only shows that the items were received but when you go to inventory, they're not there

yeah Yakine - you understand haha.. But yeah - I guess those skins will be gone forever - atleast it wasnt a huge amount.. they were worth about 3 dollars

Did I state they had an api key or did I ASK if they had one? I asked if they had one and they responded and confirmed they did not have one.

Secondly when these types of threads appear most posters have been PHISHED and why the relevant information is always posted.

Finally they have KNOWN scam sites in their profile name which indicates they may have been phished.
