Missing Executable, Help Please.

I tried to download Warframe and as it was downloading I noticed that there was another 'Warframe' downloading. Now I didn't think much of it as it was most likely important, and decided not to touch it except move it to the top of the queue. As I had no games running, my PC went into sleep mode after I walked off, and when I turned it back on it showed that Warframe was ready to play. Yet whenever I click 'Play', it starts showing 'loading' then it says

An error occurred while updating Warframe (missing executable) :

C:\Users\pajar\3D Objects\STEAM\steamapps\common\Warframe\Tools\Launcher.exe

Thoughts?

Verify the game files. It will reacquite any files that are missing.

If the problem still perisits then check your anitvirus suite to make sure it's not quaratining anything to do with the game or steam. If it is, then make exceptions for those files.

I've already tried to verify the game files, and my antivirus suite expired a while ago, so it shouldn't be interfering with any files. I'll check it just to be sure

i have made a solution to this problem...so i was trying to get my friend into warframe right but he gets this error message the "missing executable" and the directory is "STEAM\steamapps\common\Warframe\Tools\Launcher.exe" so i looked up on my warframe files and looked for the "Tools" and sent it to my friend and made him put it in his empty warframe folder and it worked the root of the problem is when you install warframe it doesnt download anything including the launcher....so you have to manually put it in....i can put the tools file on my drive and share it to you guys i wont put anything sus in there like a malware, virus mining etc. i just want to help fellow tennos. just let me know if yall need it

some ppl when they download warframe it downloads like instantly and when you open it, it shows the missing executable and it shows the missing directory which is what i stated there "STEAM\steamapps\common\Warframe\Tools\Launcher.exe" then i sent that Tools file on my warframe to my friend that cant open warframe cause when he installs it theres nothing on his warframe folder that steam downloaded and he put the "tools" folder that i took from my warframe local files and that tool folder includes the launcher that warframe needs to launch which steam didnt download for my friend cause when he installed warframe theres nothing on the file

Sounds like some people are still using 32Bit operating systems which are not capable of running the game.

okay so my comment might be confusing imma try and simplify it...he installs warframe, it doesnt open because its missing something...and steam states that the missing something is the "launcher" from the file "tools"...so i took it from my own local files and sent it to my friend...then he put it in his local warframe files and he tried to open it again then it works now....it sounds like you havent had or encountered this issue/bug before

he's using a 64bit system so yeah

Do the following on the computer affected.

Open the Steamclient, click Help in the top menu bar, then System Information, copy all text from that window and post it into this thread.

the game has osarch flag and wont install on 32bit system or at least spit out a proper error message.

bet is on antivirus nuking the executable.

Did some research and found a few reports of some users still loosing their "Executable" for the game out of the blue, thanks to steam. To save you the headache from becoming an unlucky victim, I'd recommend you download warframe the regular way like I did. https://warframe.com/
